Aminocaproic acid refers to the drug group of hemostatics (agents that stop bleeding). This drug of a wide range of purposes, it slows down the process of fibrinolysis, i.e. Blocks the dissolution of blood clots. In addition, the drug has an anti-allergic effect and contributes to an increase in the counter-toxic work of the liver (protects the body from intoxication).

The drug is often used in surgery for transfusion or stopping blood. It can be safely asserted that this medication is universal for different etiology of bleeding. It is produced in the form of powder and 5% solution. The drug can be used both topically and infusion (intravenously). According to the instructions, the acid can be used in various ways. Side effects

In case of an overdose it is possible to suppress the dissolution of thrombi, blood clots. In such situations, you should seek medical help or enter intravenously plasminogen activators.
