However, over time, the developers found the possibility of realizing such desires, and gradually stealth shooters and action games began to appear on the market, which, of course, immediately became very popular. However, among others there were special projects that were given the right to be called the best in this genre - "Hitman", "Splinter Cell", "The Thief" and so on. It would seem that stealth action has found its heroes, and the remaining projects will be only a pale shadow of the Titans. However, 2007 came - and this genre literally turned over.
The appearance of the "Assassin Creed"
It was in 2007 that the game appeared on the market Assassins Creed - stealth action, which allowed gamers to try on a person hired killer in the Middle Ages. To be more precise, you are at the end of the twelfth century, that is, when the Third Crusade was taking place. There is an unprecedented war between Christians and Muslims, which threatens to plunge the world into chaos. The passage of the game is that you in the person of Altair, the faithful servant of the Order, it is necessary with the help of a large number of cold weapons, as well as excellent combat skills to eliminate the dangerous representatives of a religion in order to prevent war. All this attracted the gaming community, which immediately called Assassins Creed 1 a true masterpiece of stealth. For this game was even invented a separate subsection of the genre - social stealth. Previously, in such games, the character could only hide, disappear from the enemy's sight so that he was not noticed or forgotten about him. Now you can mix with the crowd in the city, which, by the way, quite vividly reacts to how your character works. No wonder that it was this game that was called revolutionary in this genre.
Attack Attack
Naturally, such success did not go unnoticed in the console world. While the first part of the "Assassin Creed" came out not only on the PC, but also on the main consoles - Xbox and PS, the other consoles were ignored. Therefore, the developers immediately turned to the not yet explored, but terribly thirsty market - and not lost. First, the first part of the game was reworked exclusively for DS, and then the second one appeared, but not all, but only one chapter. Well, the completion of the assault of the consoles was the project Assassins Creed: Bloodlines, which connected the first and second parts of the game. From this it was clear that gamers are waiting for the continuation of a successful stealth action, which was released in 2009.
Best game in the series
Many were afraid that the second part, as is often the case, would be much worse than the first, because developers periodically try to earn easy money on successful projects. However, Assassins Creed 2 did not just justify all the expectations placed on it - it came out much better than the first part. In this episode, graphics and physics were largely reworked, which made the game much more realistic, dynamic and externally attractive. Added new types of weapons, new tricks and combinations, and there was an opportunity to move around on a horse and hang-glider, and still the main character was taught to swim. Moreover, added diversity to the gameplay Assassins Creed 2 Truth - a special passive mode. The essence of it is that throughout the game you will come across various riddles. By solving them, you will receive bits of a large puzzle. In Assassins Creed 2 Truth will allow you to get access to a very interesting video that will reveal some secrets of the game itself. However, it is fair to say that puzzles are not so complicated - just over some will have to think a little longer. The quest component is what Truth has added to Assassins Creed 2. This move was quite risky, but in the end, he justified himself - the project has become much more exciting and intriguing. Moreover, no one forcibly forces you to search for all the puzzles of the puzzles, since they do not affect the game process in any way - only on the bonus video.
Brotherhood of Assassins and Multiplayer
In front of gamers, a new franchise has started to grow, which has literally captured the whole world. The first recession
Not wishing to lose such a profitable series, the developers did not hurry with the release of the third part of the game. All this made the third part of the game so wonderful, and also provided an opportunity for developers to earn some more on the franchise and please the fans of the series.
A separate release for "Vita"
The PSV prefix was left without the third part, which appeared on the PC, on the X-box and PS, as well as on the Nintendo. However, the audience using this console was so great that developers had to make a separate third part for users of this platform. Since the original Assassins Creed 3 was too large to be transferred to "Wit", a separate part was created called Liberation, in which the main character was a girl, which was very pleased users of the console. Otherwise, the mechanics of the game remained the same, but the result was not the most comforting - this part of the series was much worse than any of the previous ones.

And it certainly did not become a mistake - the fans gladly tested the novelty and recognized it as first-class. But in it you will have to play not even an assassin, but a pirate, captain of the ship, who became one of the best in his business, but at the same time was involved in the affairs of Assassins and Templars. Naturally, players expected new tricks, movements, new types of weapons, certain improvements in the graphics, in the game engine, and, of course, a fresh setting - they had to act on the oceanic islands.
Unsuccessful port
However, the outrage of the fans still had no limit, and not because of the fourth part. The fact is that the owners of PCs and leading consoles were dissatisfied with the fact that the girl-assassin was allowed to play only to the owners of PSV. After all, "Liberation" came out exclusively for "Vita", so on other platforms, this character, as well as the accompanying campaign were not available. Naturally, the developers undertook to fix this problem and created a port of Liberation from "Vity" on the PC and console. But it would be better if they created a new game, since porting from PSV turned out to be ignoble - in the end, no matter how hard the programmers tried to draw graphics, physics and other aspects of the game, everything turned out on a horrendous level. Hope for the future
As it turned out, the Assassins Creed series is not close to completion yet. For 2014, the release of a new part is already planned, which will be called Unity.
