As far as the film "Peculiarities of National Policy" reflects the realities of the 1990s

A wonderful actor Alexei Buldakov for the fourth time played General Ivolgin in the film "Peculiarities of National Policy." Of course, the film does not give a picture of the true position of the main part of the population, but it introduces the aesthetics of that time and what was then considered ridiculous, because the genre of this work is a comedy.

The general goes to politics

So, the general decided to go into politics. All the surrounding people warn the straightforward warrior that the matter is dirty, frontal attacks of success in it are difficult to achieve and even impossible. But the protagonist does not listen to anyone and even accepts a challenge to a boxing match thrown by the confidant of one of the rivals in the upcoming elections. No, they do not compete in the ring. The unlucky duelist gets a blow on the forehead right in the television studio, which causes laughter of the audience and a gentle smile of the presenter.

To make the film funnier, a side storyline describing the misadventures of the characters, who tried the mysterious aphrodisiac emerald color, brought by the huntsman Kuzmich in a huge bottle, was added. To the main narrative, these events do not have a relationship, but revive it.

Who is smarter?

The antagonists in the film "Peculiarities of National Politics" are cunning, cunning, but extremely dim-witted agents, subtly resembling gangsters from the cartoon about Captain Vrungel, work for them. Their intentions are the most serious, in addition to the aforementioned explosion of the car, they also shoot at the general's attention directly in the chest. The scene would not have been very funny, but the candidate is rescued by a flask, happily donated by Kuzmich.

However, the team of a positive hero, too, does not differ with a special mind, but the stupidity of its participants is very useful. So, Kuzmich, after drinking a little, eats a flower in which special means are hidden, intended for secret surveillance and eavesdropping. The money of the mafia in two boxes from the copiers (there was also a story) because of sloppiness are not a false witness against the general, but by the help of a poor university.

Drinks on the screen

Interesting and metamorphosis, occurred with the tastes of the main characters regarding drinks. Instead of vodka, in huge quantities used in the previous three series, the characters in the film "Peculiarities of National Policy" drink wine, apparently dry, spilled into beautiful bottles. The reason for changing preferences is explained by the same Kuzmich: it, they say, sharpens the mind.

Where is the droushka?

In the story there are representatives of the main players of the political arena of the 90s, that is, bandits, feyezbeshniki, oligarchs and communists. The main idea of the film lies in the immense moral superiority of a straightforward and honest military man over all these cunning and rascals. This line was delivered as much as possible. Having looked at the film "Peculiarities of National Policy", one can believe in the outcome of the election that is safe for the general. It remains only a question of where, in fact, he has such money for jeeps, mansions, the contents of his team and all the other attributes of modern politics.
