Artem Markelov (racer): biography and personal life

Artem Valerievich Markelov was born on September 10, 1994. Its weight is about 73 kilograms with an increase of 182 centimeters.

Artem Markelov is a racer whose personal life became public only in 2011. The previous years are shrouded in mystery. Few details become known only from an interview with him.

In professional motor sport Artem Markelov came from karting. For the first time he got behind the wheel of a map at 9 years old. Two years I swam where the team "Silver Rain" trains. Probably, the head of the group noticed that Artem Markelov is a racer whose biography in the future will be replenished with the championship in "Formula-1". So I took him with my team.

Parents contributed to the hobby of his son, helping financially: they gave pocket money for Sunday training (rolling go-carting). Now the father and mother actively support him. Therefore, with dignity after losing to the race Marvin Kirchhofer (rising star of German motorsport), easily bypassed Emil Bernstorff. The victory at the end of the racing season in 2013 brought him the title of vice-champion of German "Formula-3". April 18 started the first stage of the championship GP2-2015. In one of the interviews, Artem admitted that even friends on the road are turning into rivals. Such a statement he made after a grand breakthrough in the championship GP2.

This concerned the autopilot Mitch Evans, who, because of problems in electronics, left the race track. After the end of the race, Mitch approached and congratulated his friend and colleague on his success.

A similar situation develops in Artem and with Sergei Sirotkin. You can not say that they are friends, but they are the only riders who represent Russia at the championship this season.

Both pilots plan to take part in all 24 races of GP2. And since both do not intend to surrender their positions due to nobility, a brutal but interesting struggle is planned between young and promising racers.
