  • From the pasted flat image.
  • With volumetric details obtained by folding and gluing additional elements (tail, wings).
  • Of paper with an invoice surface formed of napkins.
  • Of the elements in the quilling technique.

As you can see, there are several ways of manufacturing. With the first will be able to cope and the little children, if you prepare them a cut out pattern. The latter method is suitable for older children or for joint creativity with parents.

Where to use paper birds

If you go to work creatively and with pleasure, you will get a very beautiful application "Pigeon" made of paper. With your hands, you can make a postcard, a decorative panel for decorating an interior, decorating a gift box, using such an idea. The theme is suitable for both congratulating you on Victory Day, and, for example, on Mother's Day. Dove as a supplement to a bouquet of flowers can appear on the card to the spring holiday on March 8. At home, you can offer the child such an option for making a gift to someone from relatives or your friends at a wedding. These paper birds - symbols of peace, good and love - will be able to decorate any holiday.

Preparation of materials and tools

The application of "Pigeon" of paper will require the preparation of the following:

  • White sheets;
  • Napkins;
  • Pencil and eraser;
  • Printed on paper template;
  • Scissors;
  • Glue PVA.

To work in the quilling technique you will need strips of paper about 5 mm wide, as well as a tool for twisting them. For this purpose, you can use a spoke, toothpick or skewer. As you can see, there is nothing complicated, so you can completely entrust your work to children. You need to prepare templates - draw a path or print a picture.

A simple option for children's creativity

The simplest dove of the world (paper application) can be made as follows:

  1. Take a sheet of white or colored cardboard or paper as a background (background). Leave it flat or bend in the form of a folding card.
  2. Prepare in any way templates of birds cut from white paper.
  3. Paint the pigeons on the base.
  4. Draw or glue colored eyes and a beak, also it is possible to glue a detail of a wing or a tail on top.

This application is well complemented with simple flowers, an image of the globe, children's hands or hand-drawn little men.

For older children it is worth complicating the work:

  1. Prepare napkins and tear them into small pieces. The smaller the particles, the more carefully the application will turn out.
  2. Put the resulting mass in a bowl or other similar container and pour a small amount of water.
  3. When the napkins are soaked with liquid, wring out excess and add PVA glue to the mass.
  4. Stick the napkins onto the pre-patterned pigeon pattern.

After drying, the bird's surface will be textured, slightly voluminous. In this way, you can even form something similar to the relief, showing the shape of the wings. By a similar principle, it is easy to work with crumpled paper.

Pigeon of paper: applique (three-dimensional)

To get this option, use one of the following methods. Method number 1 consists of the following steps:

  1. Prepare a bird pattern.
  2. Cut out squares from white napkins (size choose yourself according to the size of the bird).
  3. Twist the resulting blanks in the form of kulechkov-cones. To do this, use an ordinary pencil.
  4. Dip the narrow parts of the parts in the PVA so that the napkin is not soaked and glue the surface of the pre-pigeon onto the surface.

So you will get a bird with a very delicate fish plumage.

Method number 2 is to prepare or create an appropriate pattern of the dove, from which you can cut out the overall shape, and then, using the folds of the parts, create a semi-volume bird figure. The surface of such a product, by the way, can be decorated with any of the above methods. To get a more realistic image, make individual pieces of feathers from paper in the form of scales with cut edges along the perimeter. Stick them over the entire surface of the bird. On the wings of the detail can be larger, on the breast and trunk - small. This option, of course, is quite complicated, but older children will cope with it.

Applied in quilling technique

This method is also not easy, but the products are also very effective. They look lacy, airy, so they are not only suitable for children's creativity, but also as wedding decorations. As a blank, you can take any pattern of the world dove out of paper. Application can be carried out both on a flat surface of a wall, a postcard, and on a volumetric, for example, on a glass, a bottle of champagne, a bowl, an arched construction.

For the manufacture of simple doves in this technique it will be enough to twist just a few details: a head in the form of a circle, a trunk, wings and three details of a teardrop tail. If you want to create a real masterpiece, you have to work hard, because every element of the body can be assembled from a large number of openwork twisted blanks.

Application of paper (templates): dove

The first illustration below shows the most elementary version of the bird image. This preparation is good for children's creativity with the youngest children. The form here is simplified, and filling it with a lot of napkins will not be difficult.

The second template makes sense to use both for organizing children's leisure activities, and for decorating a wedding event. Children can cut additional pieces that repeat the shape of the wings and tail. Attached with an additional layer of detail will give the effect of relief to the product.

The next picture is more realistic, but you can work with it just like with the previous one. This preform is also suitable for gluing the napkins from napkins and creating a textured surface with the help of finely plucked napkins.

By the last preparation, it is not difficult to create a very effective three-dimensional application. In addition to the base in the form of a general contour, cut out additional details - each feather separately. It is better to glue one with the approach to the other, and even pre-cut the perimeter of each detail of the "villus" of feathers.

As you can see, the "Pigeon" applique is made of paper in different ways. Choose appropriate according to the age of the child and his ability to work with materials. Create creative works together with children and teach them independence.
