To date, tuning of domestic cars has become quite common. Pumped VAZs can be seen practically in any district, in every city and region of our country. However, often motorists are limited only to installing new body kit. On the one hand, it's beautiful, but on the other - it's already uninteresting, and it's simply impossible to stand out from the crowd in this way. But there is a way that will really transform your VAZ without significant technical changes. And he consists in the installation of such illuminations as "angelic eyes". How to install them, read on in our article.

How to make LED angel eyes? We prepare materials and tools

Unfortunately, ready-made sets of such optics for this model are difficult to find in stores, so you have to do everything with your own hands. In order to make "angel eyes" on VAZ-2106, we need only a few plastic sticks. Their length should be equal to the size of the optics on the "six", that is for works we need to have 4 such sticks with a length of 40-45 centimeters each.
We also need a heat-resistant sealant for optics and 4 LED lights (if you do LED "angel eyes"). As for the choice of color, it all depends on your imagination. In reserve, you should buy 4 new glasses (old ones are very difficult to take off).

Getting Started

To bend the sticks, we need some kind of cylindrical container. For cars, like VAZ-2103 and -2106, the ideal choice will be a tin can from coffee. But before that, the sticks should be heated on an open fire or in the oven. In the latter case, they are placed on the inverted cover from the pan. After a short heat treatment, the rods are bent. For this we prepare a pair of pliers, a joke in the form of jars and a chair. From the oven, the details are extracted with the help of the first tool (one is taken for the end, and the second is wrapped around the can). Now we wait until the plastic cools down. When it hardens, we remove the already formed rings from the tin can. The extra tips of the sticks (they will always be visible) are cut with a hacksaw, so that we have a perfect circle.

Connect LEDs and connect wires

Next, we turn to the most complex and responsible operation - the installation of LEDs. In the two ends of the product holes are drilled strictly for the diameter of the light bulbs bought, and their legs are cut off with a stock of length of 5 millimeters. Then, the LEDs are soldered in parallel. They are connected separately, each wire goes to its own path. It is important not to confuse the polarity, otherwise all work will have to be done. In order not to confuse, where the "plus", and where the "minus", use multi-colored wires (better than red and black colors). The length of each should be about 15 centimeters. At this length, cut the wire, which leads to the "plus" and solder here resistance.

Now we buy some (perhaps the cheapest) transparent nail polish and drop it in each hole (there are 2 of them all). While it did not dry out, we inserted diodes into the holes. By the time the whole structure should stand in the open air for about 30 minutes.

Why is it better to use such a varnish?

The fact is that after drilling, the internal surface of the parts will be scratched, accordingly, the plastic has no normal contact with the diodes. Hence we get a bad glow of the rings, which we do not need at all. The Varnish also fills all these voids and makes one of the two elements one whole.

For reliability, it is recommended to make small notches on the rings (but not along the entire circumference). The distance should be no less than 10 millimeters, and the depth - about 0.5 millimeters. All, at this stage, "angel eyes" on the VAZ-2106 have been successfully manufactured. Now it remains to do the second part of the work - mounting the parts in the car's optics.

Installation of "angel eyes" on the "six"

To begin with, we will have to completely remove and disassemble the lights (do not forget before this to de-energize the vehicle's on-board network). Next, we have to remove the glass surface of the optics. If you can not do this on the spot, try to lightly light the headlight over the same gas stove. Sometimes even after these manipulations, it is not possible to remove the glass. In this case, the only way out of the situation is to break this part of the block-headlight. Fortunately, optics for the "six" is not very expensive, so worry about the financial costs will not have to. If the reflector formed garbage, we certainly extract it from there. Here you need to be extremely careful. Remember that in no case can you touch the surface of the reflector with your hands and even more so use for cleaning special alcohol-containing substances, powder, gasoline and so on. We clean dirt only with a cotton swab or a piece of rag with a rough pile. Otherwise, the range of headlight lighting will be no more than 5-10 meters.

How is the installation of the "angel eyes" going on? The edges of the glass are treated with a sealant. After this, the ring is placed upside down in diodes. In this case, the notches should turn to the lamp. For reliability, we apply the silicone sealant to the remaining edges of the glass. Remember that the headlight must be airtight, otherwise it will constantly sweat and grow turbid. We wait 30 minutes, until the sealant is solidified, then we connect the wires. Those that go from the "eyes", must be connected with the old ones that go along with the block headlamp (dipped beam).
If you want, you can connect in another way. First disconnect the plug of wires that go to the dimensions and turns. We connect the minus the first with the plus of the last (that is, two in one). The released "+" from the dimensions will be used to connect a pair of "angel eyes". Minus can be attached to the mounting of signals. In this case, the "angel eyes" will not be included as a passing beam, but as dimensions (from the side it looks very impressive!).
