Anatoly Junitsky: born to make a fairy tale happen

40 years ago began a story whose goal is to change the world for the better. History, which is rapidly approaching the happy end and the results of which we will see in the spring of this year. The history of the creation of the transport system SkyWay (more popularly known as the "string transport of Unitsky").

This year, the Soviet-Russian scientist and engineer Anatoly Unitsky marks the anniversary of the creation of an idea that has shaped the development of his entire future life. Childhood and the early years of Unitsky fell at a time when the theme of space exploration literally hung in the air, when every second boy was called Yura, and in all New Year trees toys hung in the form of cosmonauts, rockets and satellites. Despite the environment, which propagated absolutely certain values, ideals and needs, Anatoly Yunitsky looked at the achievements of Soviet rocketry in a completely different perspective. The scientist thought about the damage caused by the rockets of ecology. On the SkyWay website, Yunitsky's comments on the rocket industry are illustrated by an eloquent comparison: one launch of a heavy rocket makes a hole in the ozone layer of the Earth the size of the average Central European country, and the launch of 85 similar "Shuttle" missiles will destroy the ozone layer and the Earth's ionosphere.

In 1977, Unitsky developed a project of a general-purpose vehicle (OTN), the essence of which lies in the space-free development of outer space. According to the scientist's idea, such a facility is capable of transporting cargoes into orbit through the internal forces of the system, without causing any harm to the environment. A miracle of engineering thought is devoted not to one article and a book, but the State Committee for the USSR even shot about him the popular science film "In the sky on the wheel." However, most of his life, Unitsky dedicated to the implementation of a smaller, but more "real" project in terms of implementation, which separated from the idea of UTS and was later named "Unicorn's string transport."

Like the elder brother, the string transport of Unitsky does not harm the environment: on the SkyWay Capital website, the feedback from experts in the transport sector is that SkyWay is the most environmentally friendly transport, due to the technological characteristics of SkyWay. The main and unique component of "Skyway", which gave the name to the whole complex as a whole, is a string rail. Two string rails, located above the ground on supports instead of a continuous roadway, allow minimizing the use of soil and inserting a string system in any, even densely built-up terrain, while ensuring zero accident rate. In addition to saving the space involved, Skyway reduces the amount of material required for construction and optimizes energy costs.

String transport Unitsky includes four main areas: high-speed (up to 500 km / h), urban passenger, cargo and light walking, designed for functioning in recreation areas. Thus, the whole complex is designed for a wide audience of customers and consumers and, in comparison with traditional transport, has unique indicators for safety, environmental friendliness and economy.

However, despite all the above advantages, the history of the formation of a new mode of transport was not formed at all simply. Unitsky devoted his entire conscious life to what we now call a beaten stamp "to break the system," but the bruising of this term does not negate its accuracy. No matter how economical the SkyWay was, it took money to build it. For many years, Unitsky was trying to get funding from the state. Partly it was possible: with the help of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Cygnus, at the beginning of the zero in the Moscow region, a mini-test site was built that allowed testing the simulator of the SkyWay transport module and, most importantly, the string track structure. However, this was not enough for the customers. Unitsky realized that in order for the product to become in demand, it needs to be demonstrated in action, and to demonstrate the whole complex from A to Z.

In trying to implement the project in different cities and countries and get funding, Unitsky earned himself the reputation of an eccentric altruist, a bit of a mad scientist who is obsessed with his idea. As evidenced on the official website of SkyWay management feedback, in the 90's, when the country's ideology gave way to a commercial component, the idea of Unitsky was used by several businessmen - unscrupulous "partners" who promised to allocate funds for the construction of string transport, but in fact they tried to select intellectual The property of the scientist.

The output was found a few years later thanks to the crowdinvesting. To implement the project, special funds were created that collect investments. If you examine the feedback of investors on numerous online resources of SkyWay Capital, it becomes obvious that first of all they are inspired by the story of Unitsky - the person who goes forward, despite everything, trying to make the life of ordinary people more comfortable and safer. Trust in himself Unitsky justifies his actions. He is open to communication, does not avoid the press: several media are already familiar with the work of design offices and pilot production.

Shortly after the company's transition to the regime of crowindasting, a group of companies "Skyway" received a lease of a land plot located in the Republic of Belarus near Minsk. Then, in 2014, the area of 36 hectares was an ordinary field with a rare growing self-sown on it. Two years later, the elements of the string innovative complex "grew up" in this field: transport knots, anchor and intermediate supports, string rails, associated infrastructure, administrative buildings. The center was named "EcoTechnoPark". Tests of the system have already begun - a light pleasure vehicle SkyWay called "UniBike" in November stood on the rails. In the spring, the urban passenger trail will also join the light promenade: both directions will be presented to the public in action this spring.

Collected by the SkyWay information service, local residents agree on one thing: the construction of the SkyWay landfill will make the native land more interesting and will provide additional jobs. The EcoTechnoPark under construction is not just a center for transport innovations. This is evidence of a man's victory over circumstances: everyone must "cultivate their own garden." Even if it does not work the first time.
