Aloe vera - a home pharmacy on your window

Aloe tree, which we all know as the century, has a truly unique healing properties. Therefore, if you want to grow a medicinal product "on all occasions" on your window, this unpretentious plant will be an ideal option. There is a belief that aloe helps the prosperity of all its inhabitants, as well as their longevity. Indeed, it was not for nothing that the flower was a home amulet in the Middle East and in ancient Egypt, where the tradition of hanging an agave on windows and doors has survived to this day.

This perennial evergreen indoor flower came to us from sunny Africa, where it grows in desert and semi-desert areas on stony ground. This explains his stamina and unpretentiousness. After all, every mistress can easily grow a miracle plant on her windowsill.

In special care the flower does not need. He only needs good lighting and stony, acidic, sandy soil with good drainage. The only thing that the plant does not tolerate is frost and shading, so consider these important conditions when growing outdoors or on the windowsill of aloe. Its species number about 340 different forms, however, among the amateur growers, such as aloe vera or Aloe Vera, aloe tiger (mottled), and also aloe soap are the most common. The most beautiful is considered to be aloe variegated. Very rare is aloe vera, but recently it has begun to be very actively imported by the Dutch.

However, let's return to our century. Aloe vera was known for its medicinal properties even in Ancient Egypt, where local healers and sorcerers used its juice for the treatment of various diseases, as well as embalming the deceased.

And to date, freshly squeezed juice obtained from the leaves of aloe, is often used in a variety of areas of traditional medicine. First of all, it is worth noting the excellent antiseptic properties that aloe vera possesses . Its juice is used to treat wet seborrhea, boils, burns and other inflammatory processes on the skin. Especially effective is aloe vera in lichen, eczema or dermatosis. With bleeding and weakness of the gums, it is recommended to chew the leaves of the plant 2-3 times a day.

Juice of the century is prescribed for gastritis and ulcer diseases. A small amount of juice is used to stimulate the appetite. And in large doses, the thickened juice (sabur) has exceptional laxative properties.

Prepare at home juice from the leaves of the century can be as follows: chop the large leaves, twist them in a meat grinder, wring out the gruel. Form the juice through the cheesecloth in several layers and boil it for about 3 minutes. Please note that it is necessary to use it immediately, because during storage it loses its medicinal qualities.

Aloe vera is widely used in cosmetology. To eliminate acne and inflammation on oily skin, it is recommended to wipe the face with fresh juice for the night.

With the help of a century-old you can prepare a fortifying agent for the whole organism. To do this, you will need to mix honey (250 grams), fresh aloe juice (150 grams) and red wine (best of all is Cahors, 350 grams). The resulting mixture of one tablespoon should be taken three times daily before meals.

Note that the juice of the plant with external application has no single contraindication. But before using it inside, it is better to consult a doctor, because this folk remedy is not recommended for pregnant women, as well as for diseases of the bladder, liver, cardiovascular system, bleeding and hypertension.
