Beatriz Sheridan is a Mexican director and actress. Among her directorial works are the series "Wild Rose", "Just Maria", "Esmeralda" and others.

Biography

Full name Beatrice - Elizabeth Anne Sheridan Scarbo. She was born on June 25, 1934 in the Mexican capital of Mexico. Mother Beatrice is an Englishwoman, and her father is a Mexican. Elizabeth had eight brothers and sisters.

The girl went to university in Missouri. Its teacher was Seki Sano, known for his attempts to improve the Stanislavsky system.

Career

For a long time Sheridan worked in the theater and cinema as an actress.

In 1958, the actress participated in the filming of the first Mexican novel Sanda prohibida. Until 1987, Beatrice was mainly filmed in various television series.

In 1987, Sheridan started directing. In her series played famous Mexican beauties Veronica Castro, Adela Noriega and Victoria Ruffo. She was engaged in the creation of not only modern, but costumed historical tapes. Often in her television series Beatriz Sheridan herself played small roles.

Sheridan's latest work is the television series "Against Destiny", which appeared on television screens in 2005.

The telenovela "Wild Rose"

One of the first Mexican series to be broadcast in the Soviet Union was the Wild Rose. The series, released in Mexico in 1987, was shown here only in 1994. The idea belongs to Ines Rodene. The project directors are Beatriz Sheridan and Ernesto Areola.

The love story of Rosa and Riccardo unfolds on the television screen during the subsequent 199 series.

The roles in the television series were: Veronica Castro, Liliana Aboud, Guillermo Capetillo, Armando Calvo, Jaime Garza, Josefina Escobedo and other actors.

Sheridan flashes in one of the episodes of the series in a small role. For her, this series is the first where she acted as a director.

The song "Wild Rose" for the series was performed by the main actress - Veronica Castro.

The series "Simply Maria"

The TV series "Simply Maria" appeared on the television screens of Mexico in 1989. It was directed by Beatrice Sheridan and Arturo Ripstein.

According to the plot, a young peasant girl Maria comes to the capital of Mexico from the outback in search of work. A guy from a rich family falls in love with a girl. They have a baby. The boy's family is against Mary. The girl is forced to earn her living by sewing clothes. Years later she achieves success and becomes rich and famous. The series narrates about the life of Maria Lopez for 150 series.

Death

Beatriz Sheridan died at the age of 71 on April 30, 2006 from a heart attack at home.
