Actor Mikhail Ulyanov: biography, family, filmography

One of the brightest and most original personalities of Soviet cinema is Mikhail Ulyanov. His biography began in distant Siberia. Not knowing anything about the capital's theatrical life, he arrived in Moscow in 1946. His talent was noticed by professionals. For 50 years, Ulyanov played Lenin, Dmitry Karamazov, Marshal Zhukov, an avenger pensioner and a few dozen roles.

Ulyanov Mikhail Alexandrovich came to Moscow from a small Siberian city. Completely accidentally learned that at the theater. Vakhtangov is a studio. Childhood

Ulyanov Mikhail Alexandrovich in his youth was an ordinary Soviet boy: he ran to the cinema, played "Cossack robbers". I did not dream about the theater, because I did not know anything about this art. His parents had nothing to do with the artistic world. My father was a woodworker, my mother was a housewife.

When the war began, the future actor was thirteen years old. Father was called to the front. Like all children of the war, Mikhail dreamed of getting into the epicenter of military operations. But did not have time because of a young age.

In his school years, Ulyanov attended literary evenings. He learned about theater, only in high school. Once the troupe from the regional center visited the native city. The production made a strong impression on Ulyanov. His main passion was theater. Fortunately, in a small provincial town there was a children's studio with a drama theater evacuated from Lviv. Here the future actor was able to show his abilities. The head of the studio advised him to go to Omsk and enter the theater school. The Council did not neglect Mikhail.

Student years

Mikhail Ulyanov, whose biography at first glance may seem extremely smooth and happy, still experienced certain difficulties in the first years of his studies. After graduation, he left for Omsk, where he studied for two years in the studio at the drama theater. Study was not easy.

Mikhail constantly memorized sketches, attended a rehearsal room and participated in extras. And he was very unhappy with his sonorous high voice. With such a timbre, Ulyanov supposed, there is nothing to hope to get a real role. Everyone knew a characteristic hoarse voice was worked out through long torment.

After the war, Ulyanov left for Moscow and entered the Shchukin school. Four years passed by unnoticed. He did not manage to come to his senses when it was time for the final performances.

Only during his studies over two hundred roles was played by Mikhail Ulyanov. The biography of this actor has developed successfully. Already at an early stage of the creative path, the role of Ulyanov was defined. The heroes he played were, as a rule, positive, socially reliable, ideologically self-sustained. At least, Ulyanov was seen by such spectators on the screen right up to the "thaw".

Theater

The first decade of work in the theater. Vakhtangov actor was very much in demand. But his role fully corresponded to the spirit of that time. He played Komsomol members, Party workers, and finally, Lenin. In the late fifties the theater's repertoire changed somewhat. And Ulyanov began to receive many other interesting roles, both main and secondary. For half a century of work on the stage, the actor created a whole gallery of diverse images.

The closest in spirit to Ulyanov was the role of the protagonist in the play based on Aitmatov's novel "And the Night Lasts Longer". And Rogozhin in the performance of this actor became the topic of long discussions of theater critics. Ulyanov did not manage to create such a profound image of this hero on the stage.

Cinema

In 1953, Mikhail Ulyanov played his first film role. The filmography of this actor has several dozen works. Cinema, thanks to which the actor became known to the Soviet audience - "The house in which I live" and "Chairman". It should be said that on the screen he could get used to the image of Dostoevsky's hero Mikhail Ulyanov. His filmography includes the role of Dmitry Karamazov in the film adaptation of the immortal work.

Non-heroic type

Actor more than once admitted that his appearance is too simple. And yet, Mikhail Ulyanov is an actor who created so many heroic images in the cinema, but no one else could. He played kings, generals and commanders. The role of Zhukov himself was also offered to Ulyanov. The actor wanted to refuse, believing that his type was not suitable for such a difficult work. But even the famous marshal approved the candidacy of Ulyanov. After that, Mikhail Alexandrovich cast aside all doubts and proceeded to prepare for the film's shooting. Ulyanov managed to fulfill this role. Subsequently, he played the famous marshal of Victory more than once.

A family

Mikhail Ulyanov, whose biography is closely connected with acting, has met his future wife in the walls of his native theater. His chosen one was a woman with the mysterious French name Parfanyak. In reality, Mikhail Ulyanov's wife had Ukrainian roots. The soft sign of the actress added to her surname for beauty and effect.

Alla Parfanyak was married at the time when Mikhail Ulyanov was flaming with passion. Biography, personal life and any information about the family of this actor in the fifties caused rapid interest among fans. The husband of Parthanyak was the famous actor Nikolai Kryuchkov. In addition, the actress had many famous fans. The chance at Ulyanov, the real popularity that came to him after his marriage, were not great. But still he became the husband of Alla Parfanyak and carried her faithfulness through all her life. Their daughter Elena became an artist. The actor also had a granddaughter, whom he loved very much. Therefore, in the movie "Voroshilov Shooter", Mikhail Ulyanov played part of himself.

Loving father and grandfather

It may seem that theater and cinema should constitute the washing away of the life of such a talented actor as Mikhail Ulyanov. The family, children and household concerns will only interfere with creativity. However, this is a delusion. For Ulyanov, despite his popularity and professional success, the family was in the first place. The actor was a caring father, and later a loving grandfather. One of the close family of Ulyanov said that she once found a great actor for a lesson that was not very much in accord with his successful career: he sewed the dress of a granddaughter doll.

Recent roles

In the nineties and early this century, the great Soviet and Russian actor played not so many roles. At least, if we compare with the intensity of its loads in the olden days. One of the last works - the main role in the film "Voroshilovsky shooter". Mikhail Ulyanov agreed to star in Stanislav Govorukhin's film primarily because he felt and understood his hero. An ordinary old man, who has a long and honest life behind him, does not understand and does not want to reconcile with what is happening around - this was the image of the avenger pensioner actor Mikhail Ulyanov. For this work, he received several awards. The fee, however, was burnt as a result of a default. Ulyanov in his last years lived on a salary hudruka and a very modest pension.

In the late nineties, the actor also starred in the film "Composition to the Victory Day." This work was especially interesting for Ulyanov, because in the film of Sergei Ursulyak , tragedy and comedy are combined in an unusual way. Ulyanov's partners were O. Efremov and V. Tikhonov. But in this famous trio the best, in the opinion of critics, is still Mikhail Alexandrovich.

Mikhail Aleksandrovich Ulyanov passed away in 2007. Death came as a result of a serious illness, with which the actor unsuccessfully fought for several years. Mikhail Ulyanov is buried in the Novodevichy Cemetery.
