Absorbent ointments - a brief overview of the drugs.

Scars and scars on the skin do not color anyone, especially if they are located in the open areas of the body. The same can be said about bruises, with the only difference being that the latter pass by themselves, absorbing ointments like "Fortyga Forte" only accelerate the process.

Choosing the right remedy, you should be aware of the fact that in case of deep and chronic scars use resorptives does not make sense. In such cases, only laser resurfacing or surgical intervention will help.
As the main means of therapy, absorbable ointments are used only for small scars. For example, you have a great opportunity to get rid of traces of acne or a small cut, a scratch. However, in rare cases, instead of the expected reduction effect, a proliferation of connective tissues and, as a consequence, an increase in the scar can be observed. In order for this to happen, be sure to consult a doctor before starting treatment.

One of the most modern and effective means for treating scars and scars, including postoperative ones, is silicone-based gels. Such as, for example, "Strataderm". It has a moisturizing and softening effect on the skin, restores its elasticity, relieves stiffness and discomfort, and eliminates itching. A thin film of silicone protects the scar from external damage and does not allow it to grow in size. Under its influence, the scars are smoothed out and become less noticeable. The course of treatment lasts at least two months to get a stable result, it will take at least six months. Among the analogues of "Strataderma" is the silicone gel "Zerader-ultra". The basis of such ointments is an inert silicone, which acts superficially, without exerting any side effect on the body.

The most popular and well-known on the Russian market is a resorptive ointment called "Kontratubeks". It includes a number of components that enhance tissue regeneration and have an anti-inflammatory effect. One of the advantages of the "Kontratubeks" ointment is that experts believe its ability to penetrate into the deep layers of the dermis. This effect is achieved thanks to hepatrin and extract from the onion. Similar properties have a drug "Dermatics".

Another, no less qualitative means for eliminating scars and scars of different nature is the "Mederma" ointment. As a result of its use, the scars become more elastic, their color approaches the color of the skin. Thus, scarring becomes less noticeable, appearance improves. However, as mentioned earlier, an absorbable ointment, such as "Mederma", will help only with small cosmetic problems, such as traces of acne or a scar after the removal of the tattoo.

Though, one complex task of "Mederme" is still under force - this is the restoration of connective tissue and the removal of striae (stretch marks) on the skin.

Sodium-heparin-based repellant ointments are widely used not only to reduce scars and scars, but also to eliminate various hematomas. Most often, to reduce the swelling at the site of injury, use "Troxevasin" or "Heparin" ointment, "Lyoton" gel.

Among natural remedies, grass herbs and preparations based on it are very popular. They are quite effective and are inexpensive.
If desired, you can prepare the absorbable ointments yourself. This requires a bulb, vegetable oil, beeswax (natural). First, the onion is peeled, cut into parts and stewed in oil until completely softened. Then cool, remove excess oil, wipe through a sieve and mix one to one with melted wax. Store the obtained ointment in a refrigerator, warming up in a water bath as needed.

If you are using resorptive ointments for some reason is not very convenient, you can replace them with a plaster "Mepeform".
