A detailed description of how to draw a bee

Not only animals, plants and people are awarded the attention of artists. Some are not at all opposed to portraying any pretty (or not) insect, such as a butterfly, a spider or a grasshopper. And this article will be devoted to how to draw a bee. Despite the fact that this insect painfully stings, it is very useful, fluffy and beautiful, so it is quite worthy to be imprinted on a sheet of paper. And first, let's look at the bee closer. FROM Artistic point of view, it consists of three main parts: the head, chest and abdomen. Therefore, making a preliminary sketch, we will outline them in the form of geometric figures - circles and ovals. The abdomen of the bee is more oblong, so we plan it in the form of an ellipse. To its top we draw a circle - the bee's breast. A little higher, we mark the head in the form of a semicircle.

The next step in learning how to draw a bee will be a sketch of its legs. In total, the insect has six. As we draw a normal, working insect, the location of its limbs will be as follows: two rear and two middle legs are retracted, and the front pair forward. In the drone and the queen bee, the paws are slightly different, but this is already a topic for another article.

Now we are going to draw a common bee, so we understand further. All the legs of this insect are located on the lower part of his chest and have their own structure. But we will not go deeply into the bee anatomy. We only note that the legs consist of five parts, and this need to be taken into account in the figure. With a more detailed examination of the abdomen, it should be noted that it consists of six so-called rings (segments). Therefore, they can be outlined, that is, with smooth, curved lines, divide this part of the insect body into six parts.

The next stage of studying how to draw a bee involves sketching wings. We will depict them in a straightened form. On a pencil it is better not to press, because the wings are almost transparent. In total there are two pairs: large front and small rear. They are "attached" to the edges of the back of the bee. Since we draw an insect in the "view from above" perspective, it should be taken into account that the spread wings will partially hide the paws. But since the wings are almost transparent, the legs will be visible through them.

In the continuation of the lesson, how to draw a bee, let's return to the head of an insect and draw on both sides large round eyes, and between them - antennae. The proboscis is not seen from this angle, so let's leave it alone. The sketch is ready. It remains only to detail the drawing, having worked out the contours of the body, legs, wings. It would be nice to emphasize the three-dimensionality of the picture by hatching. The hairy chest of the bee has a yellowish-orange color, so leave this part light, only slightly emphasizing fluffiness. The rest of the insect body needs to be darkened, but with light chitens. Wings must be shaded only slightly and depict veins on them. Do not forget that through them, the paws shine through, so we slightly shade the wings in these places. In your eyes, you can add a glare. That's all, now you know how to draw a bee. The attached pictures will help you to better understand how this is done.
