Want to fall asleep every night and wake up every morning under a delicious coffee aroma? Then you need to follow our advice and make a charming exclusive souvenir - a coffee cup.

A cup of coffee beans with your own hands

Perhaps, it never occurred to you that roasted coffee beans are an excellent material with which you can decorate anything you like. Those whose hobbies are hand-made, well aware that with their help you can get a great many original souvenirs. Coffee beans decorate candles, postcards, master entire decorative panels and so-called topiary (coffee trees).

Having a tube of glue and some coffee beans, it's easy to make an unusual frame for a wall clock, lay out a box or a vase. The only drawback of this unusual material is the inability to wash the dusty product. But even here there is a way out - for crafts it is simply applied a moisture-resistant coating, or it is varnished.

In this article we will look at how to make an original souvenir from this unusual material. So, start our master class coffee cup.

Materials and Tools

What do we need? First of all - a small saucer and a cup (coffee) of simple form, which will serve as the basis of our composition. Of course, coffee beans. Well, and auxiliary materials - a twine of twine, a tube of glue, a golden paint in a can and an adhesive gun. For decoration, you can provide for any decorative elements, for example, cinnamon sticks.

How to make a coffee cup? At the first stage of our work, we should wrap both objects of the dishes tightly on all sides with twine. This occupation requires some patience. First we wrap the saucer, starting from its middle. The first few twine circles twist in your hands, holding it in the balance. Then in the middle of the saucer carefully glue with glue and paste the resulting circle.

Continue to wind the turns, neatly laying the twine in a circle - increasing in width. Do not forget to wet the starting material with glue. If a little glue will act between turns - it's okay, later everything will be painted over.

Thus, the bottom of our saucer gradually disappears under a layer of twisted twine. When you reach the brim, gently lay the rib of the saucer with twine. Then go to the bottom. Similarly, we continue the winding until the whole saucer disappears under the layer of twine.

Working with a cup

A coffee cup with your own hands is done like this. We start the winding from the middle of the bottom from its outer side. Do not forget to add glue for the strength of our connection. A cup of coffee, as you know, has a handle. So you have to tinker. How to hold the twine under the handle and how to wrap it yourself? There is an exit. Twine will need to be cut into pieces, measure the right amount. The edges of the cuttings are securely fixed with glue.

When the whole cup with the handle disappeared under a layer of tightly wound twine, we will assume that the first stage of the work is finished. Then we take a balloon with golden paint and evenly spray it onto our product. As soon as the paint dries, the coffee beans turn.

The composition is suggested to be executed in the form of a cup overturned on a saucer, from which a coffee brook flows. For this we lay our beautiful golden cup on a saucer. Only in advance decide on which side the handle will be located - at the top, on the left or on the right side.

Make a "lake" of coffee

Having fixed the overturned cup on the saucer, we begin to make a coffee brook. Take the brown grains and lay out in rows in the direction from the center of the bottom of the cup to its edges with the transition to the saucer. The grains are densely packed in several rows on a previously glued track. The first layer of grains is cut by a cut downwards, the next one is cut upwards, at the same time one should try to keep as few gaps between grains as possible.

On the saucer we draw a puddle of coffee (we paste it in the same way). Remember that at the place of contact with the saucer (on the rim) the cup of coffee should be browned out. To do this, carefully glue a number of grains onto its edge. And from the side the cup can be decorated with a decorative flower.

To do this, take a piece of twine and lay it with a loop in the form of petals. The middle of the flower is fixed with glue and placed on the side of the cup. Center and each of the petals fill with coffee beans. Saucer can be decorated with a pair of cinnamon sticks, connected by twine. Such a wonderful golden cup with the smell of spilled coffee will brighten up your morning awakening, cheer up and make you smile.

"Soaring" coffee cup

Even more original hand-made articles, which will be an excellent gift to any coffee maker, can be made by raising the cup and making it "soar". Our unusual design will be an "upside down" cup hanging from the air, from which a fragrant coffee drink pours out.

It should be noted that in recent years crafts made of coffee beans have become unusually popular among adults and children. Fans of this material does not stop even its relative high cost. The result of creative efforts are stylish items of decor with a wonderful scent. A coffee cup made of coffee beans glued over the entire surface without gaps or our "floating" design is a wonderful souvenir, a real example of a creative approach to business.

To puzzle over the device of this "magic" cup is not worth it. Everything is done fairly simply with the help of a regular coffee pair - a cup with a saucer, a thick strong wire, brown acrylic paint, a brush, a paint tape and an adhesive thermo gun. And, of course, coffee beans.

We make the frame

First of all, we prepare the "armature" of the future coffee waterfall. We take a piece of thick wire and gently weave it in the form of a leaky brook of liquid. 2 - 3 cm from each edge, carefully bend, bottom - up hook, top - down hook. As a result, our wire part slightly resembles the Latin letter "Z".

Then we take the adhesive thermo-gun, the bottom edge of our letter is firmly glued to the center of the saucer, the upper one - to the cup from the inside, while the slope of the cup is taken such that it is tipped upside down at an angle of approximately 45 degrees. In this position, from any vessel, the liquid will pour out a smooth, dense stream.

Alternatively, instead of wire, you can take a fork from soft metal, use pliers to bend its upper end for insertion into the cup, denticles bend horizontally and glued to the saucer. Do not forget to determine in advance the position of the cup handle, which, like in the first example, can be placed on the side or on top.

We design our "waterfall"

Then you should wait for the adhesive to dry completely and make sure the position of our cup is in the air. Now it's time to disguise the wire reinforcement with several layers of paper paint tape. This part should simulate a jet of liquid, and its width varies from the narrowest at the edge of the cup to the wide one at the level of the saucer.

After that, paint the jet with brown acrylic paint using a pre-stored brush. This is done so that white grains do not shine between the grains of coffee. Paint tape can be replaced with a mass for modeling, in this case it will be even easier to form a smooth and smooth stream. Before painting, you should wait until it dries completely.

After the paint has dried, we begin to decorate our brook with coffee beans. They need to be carefully selected and densely laid next to each other. Do the work very carefully, so that the base is not looked through anywhere. Inside the cup, it is necessary to depict the coffee mass, for which we glue the grains densely into several layers. On the saucer you need to draw a coffee puddle. It is laid out the same way, with a tight fit of grains to each other. The surface must be strictly horizontal (so that the grain does not crumble).

Shutdown

A cup of coffee, like any craft, can be additionally decorated. Here your imagination does not limit anything. There are a lot of decorating options. It is possible to tie small florets from a coarse yarn or even from a thin twine and glue the products to the side. You can wrap the cup with decorative twine, putting it on the glue. You can make decorative elements from ribbons and beads, buttons, artificial flowers and the like.

Each master seeks to come up with something of his own. And the deeper you plunge into the magical world of artistic creation, the more original variants are born in your head, the more creatively you become.

We wish you success in making the most diverse original handicrafts and long pleasant hours spent for this wonderful occupation.
