So, the zoo in Minsk ... The founder of the institution is the writer-naturalist Fyodor Idelovich Revzin. He is also the first director. They opened the zoo in Minsk on August 9, 1984. Moreover, a program of breeding in captivity of many animals, such as nows, chinchillas, brown bears and others, was carried out.

Present time

Now the zoo in Minsk is actively developing. Soon it is planned to build a monkey. Now in the park for pets equipped with special winter cages.

Currently, there are about two hundred species of different animals. Among them there are more than sixty species of birds, sixty five are mammals, as well as five species of amphibians and fifteen invertebrates.

The first inhabitants of the park were the stork Zhurka, rescued by kind people (landed in a puddle of fuel oil), a camel Khan (a present from Teresa Vasilyevna Durova), a withered Guy and wild boar Piggy.

Now animals are actively multiplying, visitors can see many cubs (cubs, chicks, goats and others).

Dolphinarium in Minsk

On December 10, 2011, a dolphinarium was opened in the zoo. Spectators are entertained by four Pacific dolphins (Mika, Hercules, Hugo, Vita), two fur seals - Alex and Herringbone, as well as one marine patagonal lion Nicholas. All these representatives of the underwater kingdom came from Japan and Ukraine.

The program with their participation is very interesting. In addition to the inhabitants of the sea depths, dancers, musicians, and acrobats perform on stage. The duration of the performance is 45 minutes. Approximately 20-25 minutes on the stage there are directly marine animals.
