What is hardcore?

Fulfilling the golden rule "Be honest with your readers," I declare that I did not have the faintest idea of what hardcore is and what it eats before writing this article. My ignorance has fueled interest in getting to the truth and finding out more about such a mysterious concept.

So, hardcore is a category that does not have one clear interpretation. The search engine gave me a lot of interpretations, but all of them converge in one - this is not quite the usual musical direction. Below I will explain why this definition is consistent.

Hardcore punk appeared in the United States and Great Britain in the late 70s and sang the themes of freedom, anarchy, and the will of man. If you compare this current with punk rock, then the tracks become less long, however, heavier. Externally, the performers looked like this: a shirt or a shirt in a cage, narrowed jeans, sneakers, tattoos, piercings (the latter came into use relatively recently).

But it is necessary to distinguish what is hardcore in Britain and America. Of course, the styles are similar, but there are also their own characteristics. In the UK there is a street-punk, a di-bit (here is dominated by a tough guitar playing and awesome, roaring vocals), grindcore, crust punk.

The next direction, which is also called hardcore, is rap-hardcore. This musical flow is characterized by a heavy bit and a chaotic sound recording.

Hardcore techno appears in the 90s in the Netherlands, Germany, England; A distinctive feature is the experiments conducted with the speed of music.

About what is hardcore, knows every self-respecting musician, addressing in this environment, but that's all styles are not known to anyone. The fact is that there are an uncountable number of them, and new directions appear periodically. Of course, few get accustomed, of course, but once and now familiar were new and unknown, but they conquered the planet and won the hearts of millions of fans.

I would like to list the most popular styles:

Mentioned were some countries, but you need to tell about Russian hardcore. He appeared in 1994, his ancestor is recognized as DJ Digger. Then, developing this direction, we reached the creation of the brand "Orbital radio station", which hosted a variety of parties attended by MC Pate, Or-Beat, Digger, Shark and others. The tradition of friendly battles, held between musicians.

In 1998, Russian hardcore underwent drastic changes related to the departure of DJ Or-Beat to Canada. After this event the program was transferred to the hands of other leaders, but after a short action was closed.

Thus, three variants of the definition of the term "hardcore" were considered here, but no one guarantees that in the near future this category can not be treated differently, according to time. But the old meaning is changing, like everything around, and most likely, new styles of music will not make fans long languish in anticipation of a miracle.
