Smirnov Valery Pavlovich was born on July 4, 1956 in the glorious Odessa. Even in his early childhood he joined the books, which later determined his future destiny. The first stories he began to write while studying at the institute.

However, as a writer Valery Smirnov became famous in 1991. It was then that his first book, entitled "Another's Autumn," was published. The main hero of the detective novel was an ambitious guy from Odessa, who managed to overcome all the difficulties of life and make his way from the bottom to the place of the leader of a large mafia organization. This work was to the public's liking, and the debut novel turned into a trilogy.

Another interesting fact is that Valery Smirnov throughout his writing career cooperated with only one edition. Despite the generous offerings of competitors, he worked until the last with the printing house "Polygraph".
