Immortelle sand refers to the genus of perennial, less often annual shrubs, semishrubs, grasses of the family Astrope. The genus of the immortelle has more than 500 species. In the literature, you can also find its other names: dried flower, cumin, cat's feet, gold sunny, golden.

The immortelle grows mainly on sandy or stony ground near pine forests. It can be found both in Russia and in Estonia, Latvia, Belarus, Ukraine, Lithuania. Also representatives of the genus immortelle meet in the Cape, Australia, Madagascar, Asia and Europe.

In medicine, immortelle is very actively used (contraindications, of course, also need to be studied) as spasmolytic, stimulating stomach, cholagogue, with hepatitis, thyroid dysfunction, gastritis, kidney, bladder, sciatica, ovarian dysfunction, fibromyomas . In addition, it is used to stop bleeding, and sandless immortelle contributes to increased blood pressure, reduces the viscosity of bile and enhances its secretion. Decoctions and extracts of this plant are used to treat inflammation, as well as a bactericidal, tonic and as a means of improving appetite.

Chloroform and alcohol extract of flowers of this plant suppresses the effects of staphylococci and streptococci. Ointment based on immortelle is used in the treatment of burns, wounds.

Grass immortelle. Contraindications

Immortelle has practically no contraindications, since it does not contain substances harmful to the human body. But, with prolonged use, some of its components accumulate, preventing the normal operation of the liver. This can also contribute to a deterioration in the outflow of bile.

1. The Immortal. Contraindications in pregnancy: arterial hypertension, cholelithiasis, hypersensitivity. Allergic reactions are possible. In this case, the intake of herbal infusion should be discontinued.

2. The Immortal. Contraindications for cholelithiasis: it has a choleretic effect, it can help block the ducts with gallstones. For people with cholelithiasis this herb is strictly forbidden.

3. It is also contraindicated to people suffering from high acidity of gastric juice, hyperacid gastritis, ulcer and other stomach diseases.

4. In severe form of liver failure, obstructive jaundice, immortelle is also contraindicated, and with prolonged use can cause hepatic stasis.

Mode of application:

• Infusion of the immortelle: Pour 10 g of herb immortelle 1 tbsp. Water (80 degrees C), wrap for 40 minutes. Reception: three rubles. Per day, one third of the glass per 20 minutes. Before meals.

• For douching: 23g grass immortelle pour boiling water (500ml), on a water bath insist 15 minutes, cool for 45 minutes, drain.

• With hypotension: one tablespoon of immortelle flowers per glass of water (80 degrees C). Keep in a warm place for forty minutes, strain through a strainer. Admission: 0,2 - 0,3 st. 2-3 r / day, 25 min before meals

• Psoriasis: Two tbsp. Spoons of herbs for 1 glass of water (80 degrees C), allow to stand in the warmth for one hour. We will take: 1-2 times a day with a compress.

Before using, be sure to consult a doctor, because not only the immortelle is sandy (the contraindications of this herb are described above), but other herbs can have a negative effect on the body, especially if your health is unstable.
