There is no doubt that today Labrador is one of the most popular and widespread breeds of dogs in the world. Of course, these are wonderful pets with a pretty appearance, they have smart, dedicated eyes, the size of an animal is neither large nor small, in general, an ideal dog. The tremendous ability to train, and hence, a wide opportunity for official use - it's all the same Labradors. The nature of these dogs, of course, is their main advantage. It is thanks to him that thousands of pets live happily in our families. And it's not for nothing that they say that the best family dogs, companion animals, are Labradors. The nature of these tailed four-footed friends is really beautiful. Let's take a closer look at the advantages of these dogs than they are so good.

External signs

First of all, let's talk a little about what kind of exterior it should be for this pet. Labrador is a medium-sized dog, its height at the withers is 56-57 cm for a male, and 54-56 cm for a female. Overall impression: a tightly knocked animal, with a deep and broad chest, loins and croup. The cranial part of the head is wide, the transition from the forehead to the muzzle is pronounced, the latter is rather broad, the ears hanging, their bases are far behind. The back is even, broad, the tail is thick at the beginning, there is no suspension on it, it does not bend over the back. Legs are straight, paws are compact, rounded. Wool is two-layer, undercoat is expressed, colors: black, chocolate, fawn (yellow). Apparently, white labradors are not officially recognized in this breed. In the books of its breeders of the beginning of the last century there are mentioned pure white dogs that appeared in the litters of certain lines, it is emphasized that they are not pale cream, namely white. However, modern genetics claims that there are no white-color genes in Labrador retrievers, even the lightest dogs look creamy in comparison to representatives of rocks bearing true white colors. "White" Labradors are referred to as yellow (fawn).

And now it's time to discuss what psychic qualities Labradors should have. The nature of these dogs is friendly and peaceful. A dog should not show cowardice or aggression. Mental ripening in them rather later - after three years. Pet affectionate, obedient, perfectly gets along with children and other pets. It is interesting that this breed is universal, it is ideal as a companion, can be used as hunting and service (guide, drunkard, rescuer). Labrador is full of vitality, cheerful, loves water games. For the elderly or physically weak people such a dog is not the best option. These pets are seen in excessive barking, but they have no protective qualities due to lack of aggression.
