What are the types of matrixes of monitors?

Modern life is difficult to imagine without a TV and computer. Today almost every house has these miracle devices, which both day and night generate streams of useful and useless information. In order not to make a mistake in choosing monitors, one should know something about their matrices.

Today, manufacturers implement different types of monitors. The quality of the image depends on which of them is preferred. There are many parameters on which the reproduced picture depends, but the basic type of matrix of the monitor still remains. Let's consider each separately.

TN + film is an elementary matrix and therefore cheap. The technology of its creation does not require special approaches, therefore this type is available to almost everyone. Literally recently known manufacturers of monitors used only it.

Other technologies were used only in professional equipment, and for domestic purposes TN + film was realized. Today the approach to the production of monitors is somewhat different, and simple technologies go to the distant future. For consumers, the main thing is quality, that's why other types of matrixes of monitors began to be used in the manufacture of modern equipment.

The main advantages of TN + film are low price and good response speed. The shortcomings include a small viewing angle, a fairly low contrast and poor color reproduction.

The next type is IPS. This is one of the best matrices, developed by famous world brands. The creators eliminated the obvious shortcomings of the budget analogue in the person of TN + film and realized a high degree of image display. However, the price of such technology differs sharply from the price of TN + film. Today IPS is no longer a novelty, so the cost of this matrix is gradually decreasing.

The main advantage of IPS is its excellent color rendering, good contrast and a large viewing angle. Accordingly, the disadvantages are the high cost of the product and the great response time.

The types of matrixes of LCD monitors do not cease to improve, and their list periodically expands. The next technology, which I would like to say, is * VA. This matrix is some kind of compromise between TN + film and IPS and is positioned as the best alternative to competitive solutions. It is represented as MVA, it has an excellent viewing angle, excellent color rendering and high response speed. Manufacturers have implemented it as a budget option, so this technology is quite a bit. MVA color rendering is better than in TN + film, but worse than in IPS, so when choosing it should be weighed "for" and "against". You can sacrifice image quality, but you can take the product more expensive, but almost with an ideal matrix.

The types of monitor matrices have been replenished with one more technological solution from the well-known world company Samsung. It acts as an alternative to more expensive solutions, which are represented by IPS. Advantages of matrix manufacturing technology by the Korean manufacturer are brightness, excellent color rendering, a large viewing angle, rather economical power consumption. But, along with the merits, there are also shortcomings, among which there is a great response time, a rather low contrast and a pronounced uneven illumination of the matrix.

Thus, when choosing the types of matrixes of monitors, it is necessary to be guided by the size of the allocated means. Producers try to compete with competitors by offering a product with a good price-performance ratio, but the best solutions simply physically can not be cheap, so the choice is for the consumer.
