We choose the sets for sleep. What good bedding, and which is not very good?

The fact, on what bed linen we sleep, is very important for quality sleep and adequate rest. The kit may conceal a latent health threat if it is sewn from poor-quality or chemically treated materials or synthetics. Therefore, when choosing it is necessary to decide for yourself the question of what good bedding, and what to buy is not worth it.

First of all, pay attention to the composition of the fabric. It is better, if it is a 100% natural material: cotton, silk, linen, bamboo. From mixed compounds with the addition of even a small amount of synthetics it is better to refuse. These fabrics are indisputably easier to clean, easier to iron. But synthetics accumulate static electricity, which causes discomfort. In addition, such fabrics after washing "roll down", forming on the surface quite rigid pellets, from which it is impossible to get rid of.

What good cotton linens ? Here it is important to understand that coarse calico, poplin, satin or chintz are all ways of weaving the longitudinal and transverse yarns of the fabric, and not the kind of raw materials. As a rule, all these materials are made from 100% cotton. They differ in the density of the weave, the fineness of the thread, which affects the strength, durability and quality of the fabric, as well as the appearance. Coarse calico - very dense fabric with a matte surface. Kits from it are well erased, easily ironed, long-lasting appearance, especially if made of high-quality raw materials. This is an inexpensive material, so it enjoys constant success with buyers.

Light semi-matt satin is made from cotton thread of double weaving. Sets of mako-satin are very high-quality products made from Egyptian cotton using mercerization technology, which increases its hygroscopicity, strength and retains its original color for a long time. Satin is more expensive than coarse calico, and a better quality cotton fabric.

Poplin is a thin but dense material in an easy hem, which is obtained by interlacing thicker transverse and thinner longitudinal filaments. What good bedding - from calico, satin or poplin? All these fabrics are high-quality, inexpensive and long-lasting, well-worn and easy to iron, especially in a slightly moist condition. They are hygienic, hygroscopic, which is important for kits intended for sleep.

The best bedding is, perhaps, products made from natural silk. But they are the most expensive. Natural silk of high quality - the material is really amazing in its properties. It keeps warm in winter and chills in summer, it is very pleasant to the touch and beautiful unusually. For all its tenderness and subtlety, natural silk is perfectly erased and easy to care for, it almost does not need to be ironed. But at the same time we emphasize once again that we are talking only about high quality fabrics and very expensive. All cheaper analogs and counterfeits are not worth attention.

What good bedding besides the listed ones? More recently, in our stores there were sets of bamboo. This is an excellent alternative to cotton linen. It is made of natural bamboo fiber, which has antimicrobial properties, good hygroscopicity, light, silky and pleasant to the touch. When you care for such a set, you must follow certain rules, which are written on the package, then the fabric will last a long time.

What is the best bed linen? In the opinion of many experts - from flax. This material has long been used in Russia for sewing clothes and making home textiles. This is an excellent fabric, which has a number of unique properties. A bit harsh, after the first washing the flax becomes soft and very pleasant. It absorbs well and removes excess moisture, keeps warm in winter and comfort in summer. In addition, it is characterized by high strength. This is perhaps the most durable material of the above. There is only one flaw in flax - it's hard to iron. However, any good housewife will say that this fabric should be ironed in a wet condition, then there will be no problems. Linen kits are expensive, but less expensive mixes are available (linen cotton). In addition, the options are good, where the sheet is made of linen, and the pillowcase and duvet cover are made from a mixture of flax and cotton.
