Therefore in 1983 another hall was added to the building, where later exhibitions of photographs, art exhibits and original engravings were placed. Currently, the Victoria and Albert complex (museum), in addition to its main building, also has several branches, also located in London.

Description

The total area of all the galleries with such a huge number of exhibits is about fifty thousand square meters. The Victoria and Albert Museum belongs to the British state. Therefore, there, like in other institutions of this type, located in this country, the entrance is absolutely free for all.

The whole museum complex is divided into one hundred and forty galleries and six levels. They collect exhibits from Europe, South Asia, Japan, the countries of the East, China, Africa and America. Here you can see whole assemblies that belonged to completely different epochs.

These departments, in turn, are divided into 145 galleries, in which there are collections of fabrics, furniture, ceramics, various sculptures and beautiful objects made of glass.

For example, in the department of Asian art, numbering more than 170 thousand of all kinds of exhibits, you can admire the magnificent collections of oriental carpets, kimonos and interesting artifacts. In addition, there are collections of amazing Chinese vases made of porcelain, the head of the Buddha from bronze and many other things from the life of the countries of the East.

In the department devoted to fashion and fabrics, the largest exposition of clothes is located, in which the ceremonial dresses are perfectly complemented with collections of jewelry.

In the exhibition halls dedicated to the architectural art, you can see the beautiful models of the most famous buildings and structures, as well as all kinds of original interior models.

Also has a variety of paintings by the Victoria and Albert Museum. Works of artists from different eras are gathered in one place. There are more than a thousand different paintings, sketches and watercolors. In the next gallery there are sculptures, books, but the main pearls of this exposition are the da Vinci diary, the verdict of Joan of Arc and the early works of Sophocles.
