Ventilation in a wooden house with their own hands. The scheme of ventilation in a wooden house

Premises inside wooden houses are distinguished by a very good microclimate. The fact is that logs and beams are capable of "breathing", that is, letting air through the pores. However, in most cases, artificial ventilation in a wooden house is still necessary. According to the norms of SNiP, air in living quarters should be changed every hour in full. Therefore, natural ventilation, even in wooden rooms, may be inadequate.

Types of systems for private houses

At the moment, only two main types of ventilation systems are used in the paving and log buildings:

  1. With a natural influx through special valves.
  2. With forced run.

Features of construction with natural inflow

Such ventilation in a wooden house is most often used, is the simplest constructively and is very inexpensive. In this case, special valves are inserted into the walls through which fresh air from the street enters the room. Extraction in such a system is most often natural and is a conventional pipe that runs through all floors. Between the rooms air circulates through the holes and slots in the doors and walls, covered with decorative gratings.

Installation of ventilation with natural inflow

Such ventilation in the wooden house is elementary. First of all, in chopped or cobblestone walls, holes for valves are drilled, which can be purchased in any building supermarket. Install them best is closer to the heating batteries. Otherwise, it will be cold in the winter. Further, "passages" for air in partitions, walls and doors are arranged. A stretch riser with exits to the toilet and bathroom in wooden houses is usually available initially.

Of course, even such a simple system as natural ventilation in a wooden house should be installed with a preliminary design of the project. Calculation of the required number of valves is performed taking into account their throughput and the total volume of all premises in the house. The same applies to the riser. If necessary, it is possible to additionally supply special fans.

System with forced run

This is a much more complicated constructive ventilation. In a wooden house, it is usually used only if the volume of premises is very large. In the design of such a system, among other things, can include a recuperator, flexible air ducts, filters, decorative grilles, adapters, tees, etc. Of course, this is the most effective type of ventilation. The principle of its work is as follows:

  1. Fresh air enters the room through a special air intake.
  2. Then it is distributed to all rooms.
  3. The exhaust air is removed through the exhaust air intake.

Advantages and disadvantages of ventilation systems with recuperator

A recuperator is a special device designed to collect heat from the air when it is ejected into the street and delivered to the incoming from outside. Thus, the use of this structural element in the ventilation system can significantly save on heating the room. Systems with a recuperator are more expensive than any others, but they are considered to be the most effective. With their use can be arranged effective ventilation of the bathroom in a wooden house, living room, hallway, bedroom and other premises.

What are recuperators?

At the moment there are only three main versions of such devices:

  • Rotary;
  • Recirculating water;
  • Lamellar.

Ventilation in a private wooden house is most often arranged with the help of the latest version of devices. Plate recuperators do have a huge number of advantages:

  1. Simplicity of design. In recuperators of this type there are no moving parts completely, therefore they break less often than other varieties.
  2. The lack of elements in the design, for which work requires electricity.
  3. High efficiency.

Some drawbacks of such devices can only be attributed to the impossibility of moisture exchange in them. In addition, in such recuperators have to install special valves, as in the winter their plate heat exchanger can freeze.

The principle of the device plate recuperator

The main feature of lamellar devices is that the air entering and leaving the room directly in them does not intersect with each other. Contact occurs through special plates. The latter are most often made of aluminum foil. This choice is due to the high thermal conductivity of this metal. Sometimes the plates are made of special plastic.

Outwardly, this recuperator is an ordinary box, from which there are several nozzles intended for fixing air ducts. They can be located either from above or from below. The air intake and exhaust fans are installed in the recuperator . At the bottom of the housing there is an opening for draining condensate. Also in the design of plate heat exchangers are filters and a throttle for defrosting. In strong colds of heat, taken from the outlet flow, to sufficiently heat the incoming often is not enough. Therefore, in the design of recuperators, the heater is also usually switched on.

Which manufacturer to choose

Effective ventilation in a private wooden house is, among other things, the right choice of the manufacturer of the system. The most popular companies producing plate recuperators are SHUFT (Denmark), SCHRAG (Germany), ELECTROLUX, REMAK, 2W (Czech Republic). The most purchased Chinese brand can be called recuperators MIDEA.

How to choose air ducts

At the moment there are several types of ducts suitable for installation in a private house:

  1. Round. This is the most economical variety. Air, passing through the tubes of circular cross section, does not encounter absolutely no obstacles on its way.
  2. Rectangular. In such pipes resistance to air is higher, and consequently, the system will have to install more powerful fans.
  3. Flexible. This is the most convenient, but also the most expensive variety. Such pipes can easily be brought to the most inaccessible premises. For example, this could be the way the bathroom is ventilated in a wooden house, kitchens and even lofts.

Where to place the elements

The recuperator is usually installed in the attic. You can also place it in the basement. Since in the wooden houses the inner covering of the walls is usually absent, the air ducts have to be carried out in special decorative boxes (which are rather expensive). Sometimes they are also stretched along the interfloor overlapping. This is a cheaper way when the ventilation system is arranged simultaneously with the construction of the house. However, with such an arrangement, in the event of a breakdown, it will be quite difficult to get to the elements. Below, you can see an approximate scheme (ventilation in a wooden house).

Installation of a recuperator and installation of exhaust sockets

So, let's look at how, in fact, the ventilation device in a wooden house is being carried out. The recuperator will need to be installed on an absolutely flat horizontal platform. Position this element of the ventilation system in an easily accessible place. The fact is that the recuperator plate needs to be cleaned of dirt at least twice a year.

After the recuperator is installed, proceed to drill holes in the walls. They need to be drilled in an array of wood. That is, in the center of a log or a beam. Further into the holes insert special nozzles, to which the air ducts will subsequently be fixed. They need to be prepared in advance. A return-thrust valve and an adapter are attached to each branch pipe.

Installation of air ducts

At the first stage, the main supply and exhaust air ducts are installed. One end of them is connected to the corresponding branch pipe of the recuperator, and the other to the branch pipe inserted into the wall. The pipes themselves should be attached to the ceiling and walls according to the design. It's easier to use flexible foil ducts. After the main will be mounted, make wiring to the premises. To each room in the house, therefore, two pipes must be brought in - supply and exhaust. Thus, toilet ventilation is arranged in a wooden house, ventilation of the kitchen, living room and other premises. Flexible ducts are mounted on special clamps. Adapter adapters and tees are used for connection of branch hoses.

Airing floors

Experts advise you to arrange in the wooden buildings and airing the floors. This will significantly extend their service life. Arrangement of floor ventilation in a wooden house is very simple. In each room, in its opposite corners between the logs, ventilating grilles cut into the air supply ducts to them. Place them under the heating devices. The exhaust holes are better positioned at the top of the rooms, because the warm air used, according to the laws of physics, rises to the ceiling.

As you can see, the ventilation device in the country wooden house - the procedure is not as complex as it might seem at first glance. In fact, the difficulty is only in drawing up the project and calculating the required number of air ducts, the power of the recuperator, etc. This work should be entrusted to specialists.
