Valery Khalilov: Biography

The artistic director of the world-famous ensemble named after Aleksandrov was born on January 30, 1952 in the small town of Termez in Uzbekistan. His father was also a military conductor. The boy began to study music from the age of four. From the age of eleven Valery Khalilov began to study at the Moscow Military Musical School. In the beginning he entered the clarinet class to the teacher E. Egorov, and then - on the piano to T. Sokolova. It was this educational institution that laid the musical foundation in the young man, which helped him later to become a military conductor.

From 1970 to 1975, the future head of the whole musical group was trained in the Moscow State University. Conservatory at the military-conductor faculty in the class of Professor GP Alyavdin.

Job

The first place of his service was the Pushkin Higher Command School, specializing in radio electronics of air defense. Here Valery Khalilov was in charge of the orchestra. In 1980, the collective, whose conductor he was, took first place at the contest of the Leningrad Military District.

A year later, Valery Khalilov transferred to teaching at the Department of Military Conducting Faculty of the Conservatory. P. Tchaikovsky. In 1984, he was transferred to the disposal of the USSR Armed Forces - the management of the military orchestral service. Here he was promoted to deputy chief of the military orchestral unit.

From 2002 to 2016 Valery Khalilov was the head of the military orchestral service of the country - the Chief Military Conductor of Russia. Being in this position, he repeatedly appeared in parades on the Red Square, dedicated to the Victory Day as the leader of the composite orchestra. In May 2015, the conductor became a member of the board of trustees of the public regional organization "Academy of Celebratory Culture".

Valery Khalilov is the author of such famous works written for the brass band as "Elegy" and "Adagio", as well as marches "Cadet", "Ulan", "Youth", "Rynda", etc. He owns a lot of songs And romances. But the most important event in the life of Khalilov, which many today call fateful, occurred in April 2016. It was then that Valery Mikhailovich was appointed to the position of art director and head of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army. A. Alexandrova. With the team with whom he worked for almost a year and a half, the conductor was on board the ill-fated plane.

Valery Khalilov, whose photo was often seen on the front pages of the newspapers, was the organizer of festive theatrical events, in which brass bands of our country and foreign bands participated. Among them are such international festivals as "Spasskaya Tower" and "Kremlin Dawn", "Amur Waves", taking place in Khabarovsk, "March of the Century", etc. He toured extensively. His ensemble performed in the USA, Austria, North Korea, Sweden, Hungary, Switzerland, Poland, Germany, Mongolia, France, Finland, Belgium.

A family

With his wife Valery Mikhailovich Khalilov met in Gagra, even when he was the most common soldier. He conquered the young beauty Natalia with her incredible ability to play several musical instruments. It was because Valery Khalilov's wife was from Abkhazia that his life was closely connected with this place. The couple dreamed of building a small house near the father's site of Natalia. And they succeeded.

As neighbors in Gagra recall, in particular, Anzor Kokokseriya, a deputy of Abkhazia, Khalilovs loved the republic very much. They at the first opportunity flew here to at least a few days to live in his house. It so happened that Valery Mikhailovich in his worldview was very close to the Caucasian people. He deeply respected the traditions and culture of this country.

When the Khalilovs came to Abkhazia, they spent most of their time either at sea or on the plot of land. Valery Mikhailovich tried to rest as often as possible with his wife and children. He always said that the most valuable thing he has in this life is his family.

His name is the street in Kirzhach of the Vladimir region, and the military musical college in Moscow will bear the name of V.Khalilov.
