Vagilak (candles): when to take it?

Vagilac (candles) is widely used in gynecological practice. This drug is developed on the basis of live lactobacilli and is used to treat and prevent vaginal dysbiosis, as well as the treatment of inflammation.

Vagilak: description of the drug

Each vaginal suppository contains live strains of lactobacilli, as well as starch, petrolatum and other auxiliaries that are used in the manufacture of candles.

Penetrating into the body, bacteria begin to actively synthesize lactic acid, which creates a normal acidic environment, characteristic of the vagina. In addition, the drug normalizes the mucosal state, improves blood supply and protective mechanisms, resulting in tissues becoming less prone to the harmful effects of infection. Under the influence of the drug, the multiplication of pathogenic bacteria is inhibited and at the same time the number of normal microorganisms characteristic of a healthy microflora increases.

This drug is prescribed for the treatment and prevention of dysbacteriosis of the vagina, as well as in the presence of bacterial vaginosis. It is also used in the presence of nonspecific inflammatory processes during the puberty of girls.

The same tool is quite effective in the presence of sexual infections - in such cases, it is prescribed in conjunction with other antibacterial or antiviral drugs. Vagilac is used in the presence of hormonal disorders, which are accompanied by changes in the composition of the microflora.

It should be noted that the dosage should be prescribed only by the gynecologist, since the daily amount of the drug directly depends on the purpose of the admission, the disease, the age and condition of the patient and other drugs used in complex therapy.

As a rule, the daily dose of the drug is one candle. It is recommended to enter it before going to bed. In the treatment of chronic diseases or inflammations of the sexual organs, the number of suppositories can be increased to two. It should be understood that the treatment of dysbacteriosis and other microflora disorders is a long process, therefore the first results will appear not earlier than two weeks later.

If necessary, the course of treatment can be repeated, but only after prior permission of the doctor.
