Regardless of the variety of designs, style solutions, models and dimensions, all the wardrobes are divided into three volume groups:

  1. Clothes - are presented in the form of separate independent pieces of furniture equipped with such constructive elements as walls, bottom, top cover, facade. The main characteristics of this wardrobe include mobility, to the distinguishing features - a system of swinging doors.
  2. Under the closet-compartment means an improved model of the wardrobe. The main distinguishing feature is the sliding system of door constructions. In addition, the cabinet can be not only enclosure, but also partly built-in, that is, do not have one or more walls, bottom, top cover in its construction.
  3. Built-in wardrobes (fully or partially). This type of structure actually replaces the mini-wardrobe room. For its arrangement use architectural components of the apartment, such as a niche, alcove, partition, which equip with shelves (angular or linear).

Evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of each type of cabinet and determine which one is most suitable for you, taking into account not only the style of the interior, but also based on the functional features of the piece of furniture. Look at the types of wardrobes more detailed.

Wardrobes

The wardrobe in disassembled form consists of a set of parts: one or several compartments equipped with a bar, shelves, a system of drawers. One of the mandatory elements of the design is a full-sized mirror. As additional options - holders for ties, scarves, scarves, hanger for belts, modular compartment for shoes.

For storage of clothes use the combined kinds of wardrobes.

Modern modular systems can consist of a wide variety of units. The kit depends on the serial production and model of furniture production, as well as the preferences of the customer (in case of individual furniture production). It is the configuration of the cabinet that determines the level of its functionality.

There are such types of wardrobes for dresses:

1. Nessesser

This name was obtained by a compact mobile design in the form of a wardrobe closet for the bedroom. In this design, a minimum set of shelves and a small number of compartments for storing hanging things. Most often it is used to store everyday clothes and bows "for tomorrow". The bulk of things for the basic wardrobe is stored in another closet.

2. 3-5 folding cabinets (combined)

Depending on the design features, such wardrobes consist of one or more sections with bars arranged parallel to the rear wall, a set of shelves, a system of drawers or other embedded elements. Such types of cabinets are produced with a standard depth of 60 cm and a width of one independent section of 50 cm.

3. Cabinet with an end bar

The retractable hanger is mounted, as a rule, in designs with a shallow depth of 40 cm.

Depending on the shape, there are two types of wardrobes: angular and linear.

Advantages and disadvantages of wardrobes

Among the total number of positive features, users distinguish three main advantages of free-standing cabinets for hanging clothes:

  • Mobility of structures, allowing you to move the cabinet freely from one wall to another, without resorting to outside help;
  • An interesting design that can play an important role in the addition of the interior of the room, turning the usual closet into a bright accent point;
  • A wide range of models within this species.

Negative qualities include:

  • Irrational exploitation of space, both linear and horizontal, which manifests itself in the form of gaps at the top and bottom, between the body and the walls. This design requires additional space to open the door facade, which is not very convenient in case you have a small apartment.
  • Classic models rarely enter the design of modern interior styles or non-standard room configuration solutions, for example, overhangs, sloping ceiling, etc.

A feature of modern wardrobes

The boom on the wardrobes has been going on for 25 years already, and the popularity of such designs does not fall, moreover - they even gradually replace the wardrobe counterparts. A distinctive feature of this design is a system of sliding doors moving along the lower and upper guide tracks (tracks). The width of the doors, consisting of modules, can reach 3 meters in length. To the width of one door leaf apply a restriction of 60 cm maximum. This design allows you to rationally use the useful space and increase the capacity of the cabinet to the maximum. There are several types of wardrobes.

Case models

In fact, these are the same wardrobes with a full and functional filling, but with a more modern and convenient door system. Installation, as a rule, is carried out at home. A positive aspect is the fact that if there is a need for dismantling and reassembling the structure, then this procedure is easy to implement.

Built-in wardrobe

The built-in model of the cabinet-coupe involves the use of one of the architectural elements of the room. For such purposes, a gypsum board, ceiling or floor is suitable.

As you already understood, depending on the shape, these types of cabinets are distinguished (photo designs are presented in the article): rectangular (linear), angular and diagonal, which depends on the dimensions and configuration of the built-in area of the room.

The advantages and disadvantages of sliding-door wardrobes

What is the reason for such a high popularity of furniture of this type? Let's take a closer look:

  • In the closet, the storage space is optimally used for the purpose;
  • Individual filling and modeling of the internal space can be performed together with a specialist, expressing their comments and wishes;
  • The use of such a design will not only give the interior exclusivity, but also help to hide some of the shortcomings, for example, uneven walls or ceiling, if such are present.

Among the shortcomings are noted only large labor and material costs in manufacturing, in comparison with cabinet furniture, which significantly increases the cost of construction.

Built-in mini walk-in wardrobes

The only difference between a full dressing room and a built-in wardrobe is the absence of a dressing area with a dressing table because of the insufficiently large size of the structure. Mini-cloakrooms are conditionally divided into 5 types, the definition of which depends on the features of arrangement of the interior space of the piece of furniture. Types of cabinets used as mini-wardrobes:

  • Cabinet or shelving mini-wardrobe rooms;
  • Corner built-in wardrobes;
  • Modular systems;
  • Dressing rooms, the internal space of which is decorated in loft style;
  • Panel mini-wardrobes.

Features and disadvantages of structures

The features include:

  • Saving usable space;
  • Zone division of the room;
  • The design of the interior space due to the principle of modularity of the wardrobes;
  • Affordable price range.

Of the shortcomings noted:

  • No possibility of moving the cabinet;
  • Time and material labor, arising during the installation of the structure.

As you can see, advantages and disadvantages are inherent in each of the types of cabinets. In the house everyone wants to see the best option of furniture. Whichever species you prefer, remember: the main thing is that you like the wardrobe and answer the functional requests, because the favorite and properly chosen furniture never gives trouble.
