Tuxedo is classic and elegant

Tuxedo is a men's suit that is the most elegant and suitable for the most solemn events. It should be perfectly matched and fitted to the figure. This category of clothing does not depend on fashion trends, it preserves the traditions of the classic male costume.

A bit of history

The origin of a tuxedo is associated with the tobacco brought in England from the colonies in the 17th century and the fashion for its smoking, which began to spread very quickly. Since it was not permissible for gentlemen to smoke with ladies, special rooms appeared for this purpose. At the same time, a tradition arose to wear a special dressing gown - a dressing gown, the distinguishing feature of which was the satin armlet and collar trim. Etiquette allowed even to receive guests in such clothes.

The advantage of this wardrobe detail was its convenience, as it did not hamper the movement. A little later, a man's tuxedo was created, intended for smoking. Since it combined elegance and comfort, silk collars and sleeves shook the ash perfectly, it quickly gained popularity.

Interestingly, the men wore it only before entering the smoking room. Leaving it, they took it off. But over time, the tuxedo has become increasingly part of the daily life of men.

The fact that this costume was recognized in the highest circles is confirmed by the fact that in the middle of the XIX century the first tuxedo for the Prince of Wales was sewn. But at the same time the tuxedo was inferior in importance to tailcoat and for a long time was worn exclusively for not very important events.

Features

Modern tuxedo is a costume that has bright differences from everyday. The main ones, which are difficult not to notice, are insertions from the atlas. On the trousers you can see the lamp, and on the jackets - lapels made of this material. But the tuxedo is a whole ensemble, which includes a special shirt, satin sash (a special belt), a handkerchief for a breastplate and a bow tie. And also the necessary details are classic shoes of non-varnished leather black and socks of a similar tone.

The waistcoat should be made of the same material as the jacket, it is fastened with satin buttons.

Wristwatches together with a tuxedo should not be worn, hours on the chain are permissible.

Dress code

Invitations to official receptions and status events often indicate an acceptable form of clothing. For men, the generally accepted wording is "white tie" or "black tie". If the first means a coat, then the second is a tuxedo. When such information is not available, it means that it will be enough to have a classic costume for the evening.

Secrets of choice

The modern color palette is very rich in colors, but according to the existing rules, a black tuxedo is worn in winter, and in summer a white version is preferred. If the protocol does not need to be observed, then you can choose a different shade.

To make this costume, wool is used. The shirt should be made of cotton or silk. But experiments with the texture of the fabric are permissible to separate this detail of clothing more.

The tuxedo can be single-breasted or double-breasted. According to etiquette, both options are possible. The choice depends on the composition and age of the man. To look more presentable, a young man with a slender physique should give preference to a double-breasted jacket. Single-breasted is able to hide extra pounds and is suitable for men of more mature age.

According to the new fashion trends, the tuxedo is not only a suit from the men's wardrobe, but more often it is possible to see women in it. But while the female version does not have an equivalent status with the male.
