Time-premium wages are ... Wages: forms of pay

Earnings are the underlying cause of employment. All employees want to receive as much money as possible for the work done. But employers are not always ready to pay big salaries to their subordinates. They should think through various systems, according to which the work done will be evaluated. Due to this, it will be possible to pay monthly as much as one or another frame deserved.

So, it is necessary to study possible forms of labor remuneration. This will make it possible to fully understand the terms of the employee's earnings accrual. So, for example, the time-bonus payment is very popular . This is a form of earning money, which is not only common among employers, it is also loved by subordinates. But why? What features does it have? What should I look for first?

Different systems and forms

Of course, in Russia there are various systems of payment for the work performed. Depending on the option chosen, a citizen will receive earnings at some point or another at the end of the month. Now all the two large schemes that help to charge money to employees: piece-rate and time-based.

Forms of payment for employees is an important point. What does piecework mean? With it, there is no record of time worked. Often, only the amount of work done or services rendered is taken into account. It would seem that this is the most profitable proposal for subordinates and employers. But this system has its drawbacks. For example, we are guided here by the amount of work done. And employees can perform more, but at the expense of quality.

But the time-based system is a more interesting system of monetary remuneration of subordinates for the work done. This option helps to take into account the time worked by each employee. And depending on this indicator there is a calculation with the citizens. That is, neither the amount of work done, nor the quality of the services offered, nor any other factors are taken into account. Payment is strictly on time. For example, hourly.

But what is a time-premium payment? This is a form of earning that requires special attention. She is loved by many employees and even employers. But about it a little later. First you need to understand all the other features of earning money.

At tariffs and without them

For example, it is worth noting: in Russia there is a tariff and non-tariff system of receiving wages. All considered forms of payments will imply a predominantly second variant of the development of events. What does it mean?

The fact that the non-tariff system is the payment of the so-called salary. The employee simply works a specific time and performs certain tasks. For this he receives a fixed amount of money at the end of the month. Usually volume and quality are also taken into account, but only in order to accrue premiums.

But the time-premium payment is a tariff system. The employer establishes a certain cost of an hour of work or a unit of output (for a piecework form), after which the earnings are calculated in accordance with or with the time spent executing duties, or with the amount of work done. Most often in the calculation of earnings in the tariff system helps the calculator of wages.

For a piecework system

Of course, the previously listed systems have their own forms of representation. First of all, pay attention to the piecework option. He has more diverse interpretations, which makes it possible to choose the most suitable way for the company to remunerate subordinates. At the moment, there are several forms of piece-rate wage system in Russia. It:

  • straight;
  • Piece-bonus;
  • Progressive;
  • Lump-sum;
  • Indirect-piecework.

In all of the above options, there is no record of time worked. The employee will receive money in accordance with the accomplished scope of tasks. That is, the more he does, the higher his earnings will be. What features can be distinguished among all the proposed forms of payroll?

Direct piecework

The most simple scheme of payment for the work done. With direct piecework, cash will be paid directly in proportion to the services provided or work performed.

In this case, the employee will receive money only for how much he has performed, in accordance with the quoted prices. For example, a person receives 30 rubles for a unit of output. To earn 30,000, you need to create 10,000 items produced. If a subordinate can, he has the right to raise or lower his earnings.

This form is used when the management of the company wants to improve performance. The disadvantage is that in this case, quality usually suffers: employees tend to perform more, not better.

Piece-work with premiums

There is such a thing as a piece-bonus system of wages. This is already a more acceptable option used by companies for which quality also plays a role. The form of such accrual of earnings is considered difficult. Why?

It provides for the accrual of premiums in various sizes for overfulfilment of the labor standards set at the enterprise . This takes into account the quality of products or services. That is, simply to work more and receive additional money will not work.

Piece-progressive

There is another option of how wages are charged. Forms of labor remuneration provide for a piece-progressive system for calculating cash resources for employees of companies and enterprises.

In this situation, employees will not be given a premium for overfulfilment of the established norm. Instead, the cost of a unit of product or service will increase. Of course, taking into account the qualitative indicators.

To be more precise, the products produced within the limits of the norm will be paid at the usual rate. But all that is produced in addition - with increased payment. Pay attention to the fact that these rates can not exceed the established regular tariff more than 2 times.

The lump-sum system

The next type of earning is a lump sum form. Not too common, but it does. In this case, the money is paid in accordance with the established production standards and the time in which it is necessary to perform certain work.

Most often, with a reduction in the time costs of production for a lump-sum calculation system, workers may be awarded a premium. This is a common practice that occurs among employers.

Indirectly

What else should I pay attention to? The last type of piecework form of charging cash is an indirect piece-rate system. What does she mean? This is a kind of synthesis of piece-rate and time-based payment. Usually it is used to calculate cash compensation to employees representing secondary personnel. Those who help the main production.

Cash is accrued for the volume of production performed, taking into account the quality of the products. But this takes into account how many units of goods the main employee made. The faster he works, the higher will be the earnings of secondary personnel. A very difficult system, which is not used too often.

Given the time

On this, you can finish the transfer of piece-work options for calculating cash to employees. What else can the employer offer his subordinates? For example, pay for work on a completely different scheme.

Time-premium pay is one of the forms of the time-based system. This is the most popular and widespread version of developments among modern companies. Has its own characteristics, which allow you to raise your earnings without much difficulty.

There is also a direct time-based system. It does not have any significant features. There are no other forms of calculating earnings in Russia. Time-based wage systems are common in the country, but there are, as you can see, only two varieties. What features does each option have? What should I look for?

Just by time

To begin with, you need to consider the most common option for paying employees. This is a simple time-based system. It has already been said that there are no significant features for such a scheme.

The payment is made only taking into account the worked time. Employees receive cash thanks to the cost of one hour of work. That is, if a person has worked 6 hours, he will receive money only during this time. The amount of work done is not taken into account. As well as the quality of the services provided.

Calculate how much the subordinate will receive in this case, the salary calculator will help. But everyone is able to calculate his earnings with a simple time-based system. To do this, you need to know the tariff, which is charged for 1 hour of labor, then multiply it by the time worked. The amount received is the salary.

By time and with a premium

But there is another interesting option for calculating with subordinates. Time-premium remuneration is the form of charging cash for the performance of job duties, taking into account time and some other factors.

Without fail, the employee will receive a salary that is formed taking into account the worked time. But in addition he will be paid a monthly premium (not necessarily) for the quantity and quality of services provided and products produced.

That is, the longer and the better the employee copes with the tasks assigned, the more he will receive money at the end of the month. As a rule, the size of the premium is set at the enterprise. And it is paid to all employees who deserve it.

Perhaps, this is all that the time-based wage systems provide. But the employer must take into account some other features. For example, to strictly record the hours spent on performing duties. How correctly it is done?

Accounting of working hours

If the company has chosen a time-based system for calculating earnings, a time sheet will be required (a sample of filling is presented in the article). The thing is that such documentation must be maintained in every company, where the earnings are formed taking into account the length of the work. And for each employee there must be a separate report card.

In this document, all the worked-through periods are recorded, as well as breaks, omissions, delays and holidays. Weekends are also celebrated. To take into account working hours, a variety of techniques can be used. For example, the employer independently records the time at which the employee came in, and also records the end of the workday. You can use special equipment such as turnstiles.

In any case, for each employee, the employer maintains an individual time sheet (working time sample). At the end of the billing period (end of the month), the accountant charges money to employees on this document in various sizes.

Now it is clear how labor can be paid for in Russia. Each employer chooses the option of calculating the earnings that suits his enterprise. Most often in practice, there is either a non-tariff form, or a time-based payment.
