Pharmacological action of the cream "Celestoderm" is its antiallergic, anti-inflammatory, antipruritic effects. It is well tolerated, quickly absorbed, and if necessary, it is easy to rinse with water.

Indications for the use of the drug "Celestoderm" instruction on the application leads to the following:

  • Eczema (skin disease of the neuro-allergic genesis, which is characterized by itching and shedding inflammation),
  • Inflammatory diseases of the skin, the so-called dermatitis,
  • Anogenital itching (itching occurring in the area of the external surface of the genital area and around the anus),
  • Neurodermatitis (due to the violation of the functions of the central nervous system skin disease),
  • Sunny dermatitis,
  • Psoriasis and other skin diseases.

The preparation "Celestoderm" recommends the use of the instruction in the following way: it is necessary to lubricate the skin or mucous membranes two or three times during the day. If necessary, a waterproof dressing can be applied to the surface treated with this medication.

Side-effects that sometimes occur when using the drug "Celestoderm", the instruction for use leads to the following. Intensive long-term treatment with corticosteroid drugs with high activity, can cause local atrophic (their occurrence is associated with tissue disorders) changes in the structure of the skin, for example, the appearance of atrophic bands, thinning of the skin, dilatation of blood vessels located close to the surface of the skin Lumen). Most often, these manifestations occur at the sites of occlusion dressings and in cases where the ointment is applied to the skin folds.

Contraindications for the use of the drug "Celestoderm" instructions for use lists such: acne juvenile and pink, primary viral skin lesions (for example, chicken pox or blister), hypersensitivity to the components of the drug or to the entire preparation as a whole.

The use of this medication is not recommended for the therapy of primary fungal superficial infections (trichophytosis, candidiasis), as well as bacterial infection (a superficial inflammatory disease - impetigo, characterized by the formation of small abscesses, which, drying up, form a crust). Also, the remedy is not used to treat sexual and perianal itching (itching around the anus and on the genitals). Other contraindications to the use of drugs - dermatosis in those children who have not yet turned a year, including diaper rash and dermatitis; pregnancy.

The medicine is available in the form of a cream or ointment in tubes with a volume of five and fifteen milliliters. This medicine should be stored in a dark cool place.

The active substance is betamethasone at a concentration of one tenth of a percent.

It is worth mentioning one more form of this medication, called "Celestoderm with Garamycin." The instruction describes this drug as a combined, consisting of a glucocorticosteroid and gentamicin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic. This drug has antipruritic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antiallergic effect.

The range of indications for use in it is much wider than that of its predecessor. It includes allergic and inflammatory dermatoses complicated by a secondary infection, atopic dermatitis, eczema, neurodermatitis, diaper rash, seborrheic dermatitis, sun dermatitis, radiation dermatitis, itching in the vulva and anus and senile itching.
