He was born on January 11, 1957 in Korkino, Chelyabinsk Region. Russian poet and prose writer. In 1978 he graduated from the Kurgan Military-Political School (received a gold medal). And in 1990 he graduated from the faculty of military-political academy with pedagogical profile and adjuncture of Moscow University with a military direction.

In 1996 Alexander Kerdan presented his thesis "Art in the system of means of forming the honor of an officer of the Armed Forces of Russia". For 27 years he served in the Soviet, and then - in the Russian army, where he was political worker, teacher, and then - a military journalist.

In 2001, A. Kerdan went into the reserve, received the rank of colonel. In 1993 he joined the Writers' Union of Russia. In 2004, he became secretary of the board of the Writers' Union, and in 2009 - co-chairman of the board.

Alexander Kerdan writes poetry from school. He published the first fruits of poetry in the Kurgan Oblast Youth newspaper "The Young Leninist" and in the newspaper "Patriot". Then he was still a cadet of a military school.

Kerdan participated in the 9th All-Union Conference of Young Writers in Russia. In 1990 he wrote the collection "Legacy", in 1991 - "Relay", in 1994 - "The Circle", and later there are "Favorites", "Siberian Route", "New Age". Kerdan wrote about forty books that were printed in Moscow, Sankt-Petersburg and the Urals.

The writer is the organizer and leader of All-Russian, international and all-Ural writer's meetings in Nizhny Tagil, Kamenets-Uralsky, Surgut and Ishim. It was Alexander Kerdan who came up with the idea of literary contests, the winners of which would receive DM Mamin-Sibiryak literary awards. Kerdan is considered the author of the projects of publishing houses "MIR" (my historical novel), "Family Reading Library", etc.

A. Kerdan participated in the 9th All-Union Conference of Writers in Moscow. Further his works were published in the magazines "Aurora", "Our Contemporary", "Rural Nova", "Guiding Star", in the almanac "Poetry Day", "Origins" and other editions of Ukraine, Russia, USA.

A. Kerdan is the author of sixty articles of the scientific direction and 2 monographs. His books were published in Moscow, in the Urals and in America. Also the poet wrote more than 150 poems, which became songs. These songs were on a disc called "I once composed a song".

In 2005, the publishing house Sokrat published Kerdan's works collected in 3 volumes. The novel "The distant bank" has provoked controversial critical reviews. Prior to his fiftieth birthday, Kerdan published a collection of poems "Transition", which caused good reviews in the press, and even earlier - a complete collection of works from three volumes, which was published by "SOCRATES". This collection includes the author's best works, in particular the novel "Shore distant", which is dedicated to the fate of famous pioneers - Rezanov, Kruzenstern and their contemporaries. In these notes, he says that he became a Mason, and his work in the diplomatic mission actually covers the lie on the sale of Alaska. This starts the adventures of the main character.

"Slaves of Honor"

The next work, authored by Alexander Kerdan, is "The Slaves of Honor". This work - this is the first part of the adventure collection "Shore distant".
