Olga, widow of the brigade leader, rescues herself from persecution of herself and her son Ivan in America. Years passed, Ivan turns eighteen. On the day of majority - it's necessary for such a thing to happen - a big failure awaits him. The conceived monetary swindle has broken and in an instant Ivan becomes the debtor and the hostage of some criminal grouping. Only the inheritance of his father, left in Russia - two expensive hectares of land on Rublyovka - can help him out of trouble.

According to the authors of the film, the return to Russia should awaken the feeling of the homeland in the main character, and inspire respect for Russia to his American friends who accompany him.
