The drug "Triampur compositum" has an antihypertensive and diuretic effect. This drug is prescribed for arterial hypertension and edema, which are caused by diseases of the heart, kidneys, liver, especially in cases when it is necessary to avoid loss of potassium by the body. Also, the remedy is used for heart failure if it is necessary to increase the elimination of the liquid.

The "Triampur compositum" is available in the form of tablets of 25 milligrams each. The active ingredients are triamtrene and hydrochlorothiazide. The composition also includes auxiliary substances: sodium salt, magnesium stearate, lactose monohydrate, polyvidone, potato starch, silicon dioxide. Tablets are painted yellow, have a round shape, the surface is smooth with a separating strip.

After taking the medicine inside about 80 percent of triamterene and hydrochlorothiazide is rapidly absorbed from the digestive tract.

Doses of the drug should be selected by a qualified doctor individually for each patient. In general, two tablets per day can be prescribed, however, the dose can be increased to 4 tablets. The medicine should be taken after meals, washed down with water and not chewed. During the treatment with "Triompur compositum" tablets, there is no need to limit the intake of liquid.

During the period of taking the drug, there may be various side effects. The most common are diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, constipation, thirst, colic in the abdomen. Rarely there may be drowsiness, tension or lethargy of the muscles, cramps, palpitations, nervousness, headaches, dizziness, arrhythmia, stunned consciousness, fainting. At the very beginning of the treatment process, the concentration of urea and creatinine may increase. With constant long-term administration of the drug, electrolyte imbalance and water exchange may occur. Due to the increase in sugar concentration, the existing form of the disease, such as diabetes mellitus, can be exacerbated. Disorders of vision or reduction of tear fluid are rare.

The drug "Triompur compositum" can not be taken to patients who suffer from anuria, kidney failure, acute glomerulonephritis, impaired liver function, hypovolemia, diabetes mellitus or gout. Children under 12 and pregnant in the first trimester are also prohibited from taking it.

With prolonged treatment with tablets, you need to periodically monitor certain laboratory parameters of the blood. From breastfeeding during drug treatment should be abstained. In addition, it is recommended not to perform actions that require high concentration of attention.

The medicine is released only by prescription. It is produced in a glass bottle of 50 tablets. Keep the drug at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees in places not accessible to children.
