The correct diet for pregnant women and its meaning

Nature has awarded the pregnant woman a special intuition. Well, who does not know how the tastes of a woman bearing a child change? Thus, the body expresses the need for any substance. It turns out, as if at an intuitive level, a woman determines in what products the fetus needs at the moment. Did you want an orange? Hence, the body needs vitamin C. Therefore, do not ignore your desires and include in the diet for pregnant women of the currently interesting products.

Mom must provide the baby with all the necessary nutrients. The entire system, which supports the intrauterine development of the baby, needs a regular supply of vitamins and minerals. And the mother's body is gradually preparing for breastfeeding and making reserves for this period. With all this, the mother herself needs much more nutrients, with every week the load on her body increases. Correctly selected and balanced diet for pregnant women should provide mother and baby with vitamins and other useful substances.

What can lead to improperly organized diet of a pregnant woman? First of all, this leads to premature birth. In infants, inadequate nutrients during fetal development, rickets are most often diagnosed. Immunity of such children is weakened. The risk of various infectious and catarrhal diseases increases, there is a backlog in physical and mental development, the child learns poorly, his memory is poor.

What foods must necessarily be included in the diet for pregnant women?

- any dairy and sour milk products: milk, kefir, cottage cheese, yoghurt, cheese;

- dishes made from meat or fish;

- bakery products or pasta in moderation;

- vegetables, berries, fruit;

- foods rich in fats;

- cereals.

Products whose consumption should be restricted:

- dishes leading to a set of weight and fullness. This sweets, pastries, pasta, nuts;

- any liquid, especially in the second half of pregnancy. The total daily volume is no more than five glasses.

- pickles and any too salty dishes. In recent months, before consumption, salt intake is minimized. This helps to reduce puffiness and facilitates the process of childbirth. Instead of the usual salt, you can put in the diet for pregnant women a powder from sea kale, but not to abuse because of too much iodine.

And now products that should not contain a diet for pregnant women:

- fried food. They are rather difficult to digest and create a load on the digestive system, the body needs much more time and energy costs to assimilate such dishes;

- spicy, spicy dishes, excess seasonings. They irritate the vaginal-intestinal tract. Instead of the usual seasonings, you can use cumin, cilantro, dried herbs;

- Coffee. For women who find it difficult to refuse this drink, you can advise drinking coffee without caffeine or chicory;

- strong tea, carbonated drinks, alcohol;

- too fatty food;

- raw, half-baked, jerky meat or fish;

- unpasteurized dairy products;

- products with chemical food additives and flavors.

In the first half of the pregnancy, food takes place 4-5 times a day. But if a woman is sick with nausea and toxicosis, the number of meals increases to 6 times, and the portion decreases. It is also important to take food at the regime at a certain time. The mother's body begins to get used to the routine, and by the time the meal is approaching, the stomach begins to produce digestive juice, which contributes to a fast digestive process and a reduction in energy costs.
