Sunnah is ... Muslim sacred tradition

Every nation has its own religion, but it assumes a single concept. Therefore, it is impossible to reliably divide people on a religious basis. But those who profess Islam, honor the sacred tradition, which is in essence the life of the Prophet Muhammad.

His actions serve as a model of virtue and are taken as the basis for the path of a true Muslim. It seems that this is a kind fairy tale, but this image is rich in a hidden meaning, thanks to which the teaching comes into the soul.

Islam and its differences from Christianity

In the Qur'an, the holy book of Muslims, it is said that one must honor the One God, one who is above us all, one who can bestow and punish, one who in due time sent the truth to Jesus, Ismail, Moses and Abraham. The founder of religion was Muhammad, the prophet who is placed above all others. The basis of faith is the worship of Allah and Muhammad. Muslims believe that Allah is above the common man, his actions are the standard and live according to the laws of Allah - there is a supreme grace, since after the death of the orthodox Muslim waits paradise gardens with unearthly bliss. In Islam, there are five basic pillars of faith. This is her announcement, daily prayer, charity, fasting, pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca.

Muslim prayer can be performed both independently and under the direction of a more religious person.

What is Sunnah?

This is the very tradition of the life of the Prophet. For every Muslim community, Sunnah is the basic doctrine of life. After the Qur'an, this is the second source of law, absorbing all the deeds of the Prophet, his words and thoughts. Up to a certain time, the sunna is verbally transmitted words, then fixed in the form of a hadith. There is a close connection between it and the Qur'an, but there are a few minimal differences. After all, the Sunna is a special kind of instruction, because it is easier for a religious person to follow it. The Quran is more reverent and serves to realize its sinfulness. By the way, there is a kind of criterion for Islamic jurists - knowledge of Sunna, without which their opinion will not be authoritative.

Sunnah power

After the death of Muhammad, the founder of Islam, Sunnah allowed to deal with a lot of questions about the life of the community and the Caliphate.

But I must say that the significance of this thing has never been diminished, and since the ninth century it has been worshiped almost on par with the Koran. It turned out that the Sunnah is a common denomination, because they sometimes refer to the Sunnah of Allah, which is the Koran, and sometimes - the Prophet. Sometimes these are desirable acts, and in a number of countries this word denotes the circumcision rite - the chiton.

For private life

Even the most religious people can not spend all their time in prayers, although in this respect the Muslims are far ahead of the whole planet, because they pray five times a day. Above the obligatory prayers can be performed on Sunnah. For its non-fulfillment, there will be no punishment, unlike obligatory prayers, but no one waits for any reward. At least, material. The value of such namaz is in cleansing from sins, correcting the errors of obligatory prayer. Muslims believe that Allah considers all prayers and can punish for insufficient number.

During such communication with Allah, a person concentrates on his thoughts, moves away from the impermanence of the surrounding world and can express his emotions. Knowingly the Sunna is a collection of rules and worldly wisdom, derived from the deeds of the Prophet. It allows us to understand the Prophet, his attitude to the Quran and be imbued with his faith. Such a prayer comes from the heart, and not from the mind.

Sunnah people

There is even a large branch of Islam - Sunni religion. Sunnah people carefully follow the path of the Prophet, take his actions for the standard and guide to life. Among the representatives of this movement there are differences in the rules of legal decisions, holidays and attitudes towards other faiths. Conventionally, there are more than one billion Sunnis, that is 90% of all the faithful Muslims. This sacred tradition honors all the currents as the most important source of faith after the Koran.

The very tradition is called a hadith. Also called every dictum of the Prophet, of which there is a huge amount.

Quran and Sunnah

The theologians of different countries agree that the sunna is the best tool for interpreting the holy book. From Arabic, the word "sunna" is translated as "custom". That is, this collection of hadith contains all the information about the actions and words of Muhammad, his life and wives. Muslim mythology has an enlightening character, it allows you to allegorically condemn human sins, bad emotions, anger and bad mouth. According to her, Allah is the supreme power, having an enemy - Shaitan Iblis, who alone refused to obey the man created by Allah. Allah has given man the will, but the orthodox Muslim wants to go to heaven, and therefore follows the command of Allah and tries to be the same as Muhammad (the prophet).

There are many similarities between the Bible and the Koran. In fact, this is a free interpretation of one story, when Adam and Eve turn into Adam and Hava. After exile to the land, Adam gains strength in the Muslim community, where the relationship is governed by Sharia. The followers of Islam must recognize that there is no God except Allah and Muhammad, who is his prophet. Apostasy was punished much more harshly than now, for him was punished with death.

When the Prophet died, his place was taken up by the caliphs and a split occurred in the community. Close relatives also claimed power.

Features of Sunnism

The Sunni community participates in the choice of its head - the Caliph, but does it not through personal attachments, but on the basis of signs of belonging to this direction of Islam.

The very term "Sunnism" took shape a very long time, although there is no exact date. In fact, this is the doctrine of following the life path of the Prophet.

In modern Islam

Muslim Sunnah is a collection of norms of state, criminal, property and family law. No wonder they believe that in the sacred books you can find answers to all the questions that arise. And if there is no situation in the books, then there is no point in thinking about it.

Initially, the basis was Sunnah Muhammad, which included actions and statements. Hadiths were a necessity, since the divine establishments of the Qur'an were not enough to solve a number of issues among the new generations of Muslims. Therefore, it was necessary to go deeper into the content of Muhammad's speeches before his contemporaries. The very image of the Prophet, the leader and founder of religion, is also interesting. First the poor and all persecuted, he was not afraid to speak out against his fellow tribesmen, which aroused the respect and awe of the Muslims. Everyone could trust such a person, so the doctrine of the Prophet became a symbol of faith in law, the word of God, history and literature.

How to be treated for sunna?

It is not surprising that if there is a guide to action for any realities of life, it is also possible to treat Sunnah. Many believers now prefer to give up modern means and doctors' help, motivating their refusal by the fact that Allah knows how and when a person should die, and therefore will send a cure. Treatment for Sunnah is otherwise called the medicine of the Prophet. At the core are the Quranic verses or prophetic hadiths. To treatment it is customary to include everything that the Prophet described in response to the questions of his companions about getting rid of the ailments. The Prophet's medicine concerns not only the health of a person, but also the food, drink, shelter, and even marriage. This does not mean that the Muslims do not recognize the doctors, but they try to take natural herbs and remedies whenever possible, ignoring the chemical preparations.

When composing the collections of hadith, scientists created entire sections for medicine to break up statements on topics. Imam Malik was the first to do this in the Al-Muwata collection, and Imam al-Bukhari, Imam Muslim and others followed him. About the medicine of the Prophet was a separate book of Ali ar-Riza Ibn Musa al-Qazim. It was a brief treatise. But the book "Prophetic Medicine" was written by al-Malik ibn Habib al-Andulusi, who was also called Alim of Andalusia. This is the first work with subsections. The Prophet said that Allah did not send the disease without treatment, and the only ailment to which there is no antidote is death. That is, the hadiths are prompting for treatment and are calling for a search for new drugs. The Prophet and his venerable family followed the covenants of Allah and took medicines and drank herbal teas to prevent disease. And now you can find in the Arabian markets herbs, leaf tea and spices, which awaken tone, drive the runny nose and relieve pain during menstruation. That is, all drugs are nearby, you just need to find them.
