Stages of Human Evolution

The evolution of man has always interested people. They have been studying the theory of the origin of life on Earth for many decades and even hundreds of years . There are many assumptions about this. The most popular version is one that describes the origin of people from humanoid monkeys and stages of human evolution.

Back in antiquity, two points of view appeared on this issue. The first theory is called abiogenesis. She argues that there is the possibility of the emergence of the living from the inanimate. Another theory implies the impossibility of an independent origin of life. There were other options: for example, the creation of life on Earth by God. Let's consider more thoroughly the main stages of human evolution.

A man has long been trying to study his ancestry. This is reflected in legends, legends, epics of almost all tribes and nationalities.

Only in 1859 did the book of Charles Darwin, which described the origin of species in connection with natural selection. She made a sensation and aroused great interest. Many condemned his theory, criticized and ridiculed. But people close to science admired this creation.

This book described the natural origin of man. They also gave evidence based on scientific knowledge. They talked about the connection of man and mammals at the genetic level. Over time, Darwin had followers who began to study the stages of human evolution.

The human and some vertebrates have common features of the structure. For example, features of the nervous system, skeleton, digestion, respiration and circulation. Most clearly, kinship is manifested when considering embryo development.

Rudiments and atavisms are special signs. They are present in the human body in large numbers, but are useless. This is the legacy left by the animal ancestors. If we consider a person from the point of view of biology, then this is a mammal from the suborder of the higher, related to primates. However, people are reasonable beings. The greatest similarity is seen in people with anthropoid apes, the difference between which is the ability to work and use tools.

Stages of human evolution include a period when natural selection took place of individuals capable of using tools. Then there was a transition from application to the manufacture of objects of labor. It was a natural selection, resulting from evolution. The consumption of food prepared with fire reduced the load on the digestive system. Gradually, she underwent some changes (the intestine became shorter).

There are three stages of human evolution.

1. The appearance of the genus Homo, the first being of which was Australopithecus. This is the stage of the biological revolution.

2. Next follows the next stage of evolution of this kind. It lasts until the modern stage of human evolution began. Here, this process was influenced not only by biological factors, but also by social factors. Among the representatives of this time, we can distinguish Pithecanthropus, Heidelberg people, Sinanthropus and Neanderthals.

3. The last stage is the evolution of modern man. Here the social aspects of existence exert the greatest influence.

The first traces of human activity with the use of tools were found in the period 2.5 - 2.8 million years ago. It is also known that many populations of people did not succeed each other as a result of evolution. They existed simultaneously and disappeared as a result of the struggle for survival.

A person is a rational being with biological and social signs at the same time. This distinguishes him from other beings living on the planet.
