Smetanin Andrey is a Russian football goalkeeper. He began his career in the USSR. The greatest popularity gained, speaking in the Moscow "Dynamo". Currently holds a leading position in the structure of the mini-football club Dynamo.

Childhood Goalkeeper

Smetanin Andrey was born on June 21 in 1969 in Perm. In his early childhood, with the submission of his father, he became interested in football and entered a local sports school. The first steps in the big football did as part of the local "Star". First came on the field in 1986, at 17 years old. At that time, the team led by the Honored Coach of the RSFSR Viktor Slesarev performed in the Second League.

Smetanin Andrew for two seasons spent for the "Star" 20 matches, becoming one of the main goalkeepers of the club. In the 86th year the team won bronze medals, and in 87th they won in the second league, going on a promotion in the class. In that year, "Star" missed 42 games in just 18 goals. Lion's merit in this and goalkeeper Smetanin.

True, he did not go to the first allied league with the team. Andrey received a tempting offer from the capital.

To Moscow

In 1987, Smetanin Andrew got on a pencil scouts of the capital's Dynamo and in the same season was in the camp of "white and blue." The team at that time played in the elite of Soviet football, but played with varying success. For example, in the 88th year, she took only 10th place in the USSR championship, without hitting the European Cups.

Qualitatively, it was better to perform in 1990. "Dynamo" won half of 24 matches and won bronze medals. By that time, Smetanin Andrey was getting more and more often in the starting line-up. Footballer just in the USSR championship held 13 matches, in which he missed 24 goals.

In the championship of Russia

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, many players decided to try their luck abroad. But in their number did not hit Smetanin Andrew. Footballer, whose biography is almost completely connected with the "Dynamo", stayed in the club.

In the newest history of Russian football in the first half of the 90s, Smetanin is the main goalkeeper of "white and blue".

In 1992, the team seriously fought for the victory in the first championship of Russia. "Dynamo" took first place in the preliminary stage. However, in the struggle for medals, only 6 of 14 games won, thanks to which they took the third place. Silver from Vladikavkaz "Spartacus", and gold won "Spartacus" Moscow.

In 1993, the "blue and white" again the third, this time, together with the metropolitan "Spartacus", they went around the Volgograd "Rotor". In the 94th the team performs even more successfully and wins silver medals. True, the champion, "Spartacus" inferior as much as 11 points at the finish.

In the 95th Dynamo are out of the medal standings, only in 4th place. But Smetanin achieves individual recognition - at the end of the season, he is among the 33 best players of the championship. Among the goalkeepers he has an honorable bronze. Ahead Sergei Ovchinnikov from the capital "Locomotive" and guard of the gates of the Vladikavkaz "Spartak-Alania" Zaur Hapov.

In the 96th "Dynamo" again the fourth, and Smetanin again among the best goalkeepers, this time losing to the championship only Ovchinnikov. 1997 was the last for Smetanin in the camp of blue and white, after his graduation he left the team, agreeing to the proposal of the Moscow "Spartacus."

Thus, playing for the "Dynamo", he spent 120 matches, in which he missed 128 goals. He won bronze medals three times (the last time in 97th), won silver one time and won the Russian Cup in 1995.

Champion of Russia

In 1998, Andrei Smetanin, a football player whose photo adorned the pages of sports newspapers at the time, moved to Moscow's Spartak. With this team, he finally fights seriously for the championship. Sadly only one thing, he does it most often from the bench.

29-year-old Smetanin expected to squeeze the goalkeeper of red-white Alexander Filimonov, but the last reason almost did not give.

As a result, the Perm goalkeeper twice became the champion of Russia - in 1999 and 2000. But at the same time he spent 14 matches in all tournaments for Spartak, in which he missed 11 goals. A good indicator, but not enough to become the number one goalkeeper in the best team in the country. Following the results of 2001, after spending three seasons behind Filimonov's back, Smetanin decides to look for a new club.

In the first division

And, sad as it may be for the goalkeeper, while he was sitting on the bench of "Spartacus", he significantly lost his condition and after three years in the shadows Filimonov was no longer perceived as one of the best goalkeepers of the country.

As a result, you can only go to the command-debutant of the higher league. Smetanin moved to the Saratov "Falcon". Here he performs for two seasons. And if in 2001 the Saratovites achieved the best result in their history - they took 8th place, then in 2002, having won only 5 wins in 30 matches, they flew to the First Division from the last place. At the same time, Smetanin was not the main goalkeeper. I have spent 19 matches in which I missed 24 goals.

And in 2002 he finished already in another team - the Astrakhan "Volgar". For the second round he played 14 games, conceded 19 goals and allowed the team to keep a residence permit in the First Division.

2003 Smetanin started in Moscow's Titan, who played in the Second Division, then played for Ekaterinburg Ural, Izhevsk Gazovik-Gazprom and the Moscow-based Lobnya-Alla team.

He graduated from the career in 2006. After that, for several years he worked as a sports functionary in the structure of the mini-football club Dynamo-2. Currently, he works as a coach in the youth and youth school "Youth of Moscow", in which they prepare football players for the Moscow "Spartak".

He is married. However, he does not cover his private life, he never talks to journalists.
