Seborrhea of the scalp

Seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp is a special disease. The cause of its development is a violation in the functioning of the sebaceous glands.

The disease is accompanied by a thickening of the veil. The skin becomes shiny, greasy, inflammation, represented by red spots, easily appears on it. In some cases, the cover may even acquire an unhealthy yellow tint.

It should be noted that first seborrhea affects the face, and then the hair and the whole body. Often on the head there are fatty crusts, large flakes of dandruff, which consist of fatty scales and easily scraped off.

Oily seborrhea is often accompanied by severe itching, the appearance of a gray-yellow coating on the hair. During the day they become very greasy, shiny, sometimes even glued together. In addition, the hair begins to drop very actively.

To get rid of the fatty form of the disease will help two percent acid solution of salicylic, alcoholic naphthalan oil solution or sulsen paste. The funds are applied externally. It is recommended to rub any of them for a month in the hair and scalp. In the absence of any therapeutic measures, baldness can occur within three to five years.

To eliminate dry seborrhea, sulfuric ointment or salicylic acid is used. In some cases, the doctor may prescribe hormone therapy.

Apply sulfuric ointment on long hair is recommended, previously dividing them into thin strands. The procedure should be repeated for eight days. On the ninth day it is recommended to give hair a rest. On the tenth day, you need to wash your head with boiled water using special therapeutic shampoos. Next, you need a solution of boric acid (two tablespoons (tea) for 150 ml of water). On the eleventh day, it should be applied to the hair before going to bed. After they need to wrap a towel, and go to bed. This procedure is carried out three days in a row. It is recommended to leave the hair alone for a week. After this period they must be thoroughly washed.
