A recent study
More recently, research data have been published, the authors of which have tried to determine whether the sexual partners who were at the potential object of passion before acquaintance, affect its attractiveness. Simply put, are there connections and sexuality? In the framework of the study, participants had to fill out a questionnaire related to the attractiveness of a set of hypothetical partners, each of which had a different number of sexual relations, from zero to sixty. The participants in the experiment had to evaluate the attractiveness of the person for different types of relations.
Interesting result
People noted that for a one-off appointment, the optimal number of previous partners is two to six. A larger number reduces a person's popularity with each successive number. For short relationships, the number of partners for a potential man is higher than for a woman. Men in general tend to meet with a virgin or a woman with a small number of partners, however, the difference in the indicators was quite small and to draw serious conclusions based on this result is not worth it.
The optimal number for a serious relationship
The most important conclusion of the study showed that when looking for a partner for long-term relationships, both men and women act approximately identically. Most people are not too keen to get in touch with someone who has had too many sexual partners before. The optimal number, according to scientists, is two to three. After that each additional sexual partner reduces the attractiveness of communication with a person. Scientists have determined that the number of previous links has a great impact on relationships. This disproves the stereotype that men are women are quite attractive and are condemned only by women. In fact, representatives of any gender can face problems in long-term relationships, if previously led a very relaxed lifestyle. It should be noted that the study participants were carriers of certain values - they are educated people from a culture prone to democracy and individualism. In countries with other values, the result may be different, in addition, in this experiment, people with a different orientation were not evaluated.
