Sam Whitwick: biography and photos

The eighties gave mankind cartoons about robot transformers, which sometimes turned out to be more human than the people themselves. And since 2007, these characters have appeared in the cinema. The brave robots had several loyal friends among the people, but the closest was the shy high school student named Sam Whitwick.

A bit about transformers

In the early eighties, miniature plastic robots that were able to transform into various machines were very popular among children. Later, Hasbro (the owner of the patent for transformers) entered into a contract with Marvel Comics, which led to the launch of a series of comics, in which the main characters were precisely these toys. After the success of the comics, a whole animated series was created, dedicated to the adventures of transformers. He became a cult for several generations of young spectators.

As for the plot of the epic about transforming robots, then in a distant galaxy once there was a planet-robot Cybertron. It was populated by intelligent robot transformers. Many years ago, the planet was ruled by cruel creatures - quintessons. It was they who created the transformers as slaves, but later the creatures rebelled and drove out their creators.

Becoming the masters of Cybertron, transformers began to fight among themselves, divided into two groups - Autobots (are carriers of good and the world) and Decepticons (cruel and cunning creatures, striving for power). Due to constant skirmishes between the inhabitants of Cybertron, the planet died, and robots began to wander in order to find a new home.

Once the Autobots discovered the Earth. But while they were studying the planet, the Decepticons arrived here and decided to seize power over humanity. Good-natured Autobots stood up for the people, and soon the Earth became a new arena for confronting immigrants from Cybertron.

In the tape "Transformers" in 2007, the prehistory of hitting transforming robots on the planet of people is told very briefly at the beginning of the picture. Battling with evil transformers, Bumblebee and Sam Whitwick become friends. Together they manage to establish relations between the US government and the Autobots. And after Megatron rebelled, it was Sam who played a decisive role in defeating him and the Decepticons. He showed remarkable courage and courage, than earned the respect of Optimus and other Autobots.

In the second tape, events occur in 2 years. Sam Whitwicky graduated from high school and went to college. Whitwick and Bumbleby hope that by finding the Leadership Matrix, they will be able to revive Prime and save the Earth. But the found artifact dissolves in the hands of a young man.

Despite this defeat, Sam Whitwicky finds the strength to fight on and nearly die, trying to revive Optimus. In his dying visions he is the ghosts of mighty ancient Primes that help the boy to revive his friend and give Sam a new life.

Sam's personal life

In addition to the triple salvation of the world, Whitwick in the paintings about transformers was also characterized by a stormy personal life. In the first two bands his faithful companion was Mikaela. Despite her beauty, the girl genuinely fell in love with the nondescript Sam, and when he went to college he was worried that he would stop loving her.

In the summer of 2014, a fourth part of the epic film appeared on the screens. But in this picture there were not many characters from the first films. In addition to Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron and several other robots, the other heroes from the previous paintings were not in the tape "Transformers-4". "Where is Sam Whitwick?" - many viewers were perplexed. Indeed, the film does not explain its absence, and the transformers themselves behave as if the guy was not their close companion and did not save the world with them three times.

If in the plot of the picture, Sam's absence is not beaten in any way, then in the interview the main actor Shia Labaf - explained that he is no longer interested in the epic about transformers, and he left the project on his own initiative forever.
