Safety on the roads. Safety rules for children and adults

Let's talk on a very serious topic: "Safety on the roads." It concerns absolutely all people. Parents are obliged from early childhood to teach children to the rules of behavior on the road. It is not recommended to run with the child on a red light, even if there are no cars in the distance. After all, it is possible for a child to "give" such a habit.

Let's consider below examples, rules, recommendations on different types of roads.

On the highway, avenue, street in the city (adjustable traffic)

In large cities, as a rule, there is traffic control by traffic lights. Of course, there are unregulated sites with "zebras". It is best and safer to go where there is a pedestrian traffic light.

Safety rules on the road (controlled traffic) in the city are as follows:

  • Be sure to wait for the traffic light to switch to "green";
  • Do not run for "red", even if you can not see in the distance of cars;
  • Do not run away when the "green" flashes after the transition is completed;
  • When the "green" for pedestrians lights up, do not rush to go immediately, make sure that all cars, buses, trucks stopped.

The last point is always better to follow. Unfortunately, sometimes pedestrians are hit even in such cases. It is clear that, most likely, the driver's fault, but his life is more expensive than any evidence. The greatest danger is in winter in the icy conditions, and also at any time of the year during and after heavy rain. Braking distance, as a rule, increases. And it is not always physically possible to brake in time.

At the crossroads, also look carefully in all directions before moving on to the "green".

Where there are no traffic lights, but there is a "zebra" (one-way traffic)

And now consider the option where there is no traffic light, but there is a pedestrian crossing with the "zebra". Of course, on this site is much more dangerous. But, where one-way traffic, everything is much simpler. It is recommended to look all the same in both directions, suddenly someone is going reverse (gives a move back).

Do not talk on the phone, listen to music, when you are heading for such a transition. Need to hear where the car is going. Even if you can not hear, you need to see if it is far away.

Know that the car, bus, trolleybus, wagon should be at a respectful distance (preferably not less than 300 meters) from the "zebra", and the speed is not too high. Do not run across the road, especially in winter and during / after rain, when freezing. Road safety is a very important factor. This must always be remembered. It is enough to give a few examples where pedestrians, through personal imprudence, became victims of road accidents. Why repeat the tragic scenario? Parents should be able to explain to children and such things.

Do not attempt to cross the road where there is no pedestrian zone. It is better to go the extra 100 - 200 meters, but be calm. It is worth noting another important point: if you see that the machine slows down to stop before the "zebra", then do not rush to go or even run across the road. Let the transport stop.

Two-way traffic and "zebra" without traffic lights

Where there is a two-way traffic, the more multi-lane, there is much more difficult and dangerous. How to carry out safety on roads of this type? Imagine you are standing at a pedestrian crossing. In the last row (from your side) the car stopped, go, but not very fast. Look ahead, whether the transport stopped in the second row, then in the third. In no case do not seek to stop the car, making it clear that you are already going before it. See if all the cars stopped at the "counter". If you have braked everything, go bravely.

Of course, it's calmer to go along with someone. Often one can observe a picture when pedestrians, not agreeing, wait for each other and go together. If suddenly, walking along the sidewalk, you see ahead of a group of pedestrians, who are already moving from one side to the other, do not rush. After all, cars can already move. Wait for the next suitable moment to go.

On the highway, federal highways

It's very interesting, but how do people find themselves on the other side of the huge highway, where there are no pedestrian zones and traffic lights? Such an example can be:

  • MKAD (Moscow Ring Road);
  • Highway both within the city and outside;
  • Prospectuses in the city;
  • Federal routes.

Traffic safety on the roads, especially on such roads, requires drivers to be highly vigilant. After all, there is a large flow of machines, there are very large speeds, the number of bands is more than five. Many motorists like to overhaul, overtake. What pedestrian zones can we talk about?

That's why there are both pedestrian crossings and covered bridges over the motorway. Let it is hard for many to climb the stairs (almost 4-5 floors of a residential building), but life is not in danger.

Undoubtedly, there are pedestrian crossings in some localities, but there must be a traffic light. Or, where there is no traffic light, the number of bands should be as small as possible.

In no case can not run out onto the track, even if there are no cars on either side or on the other.

Unfortunately, it is often possible to meet federal routes where there is a crossroads, there is an automobile, but there is no pedestrian traffic light. Be very careful. It is advisable to go along with other pedestrians, and not alone.

In rural areas and in settlements

Slightly higher, we mentioned trails with intersections and traffic lights. So it happens where there is a settlement. We tell you what should be the safety on the road for children in this case:

  • It is strictly forbidden to cross the road without accompanying adults;
  • If the child is riding a bicycle, in a children's typewriter, on a scooter, roll the rollers, tell him to prepare to walk, while keeping the object next to him (rolling).

Now let's talk about the roads in the settlements. Very often you can see roads in the province without sidewalks, pedestrians have to walk along the roadway. If there is no alternative route, then follow the safer side, preferably the opposite one. At us in the country right-hand traffic. Therefore, it is worthwhile to go on the left side to see the oncoming traffic and depart in time as far as possible. An exception may be a sharp turn, beyond which you can not see the car. Then you have to go to where you will see both the driver and the driver.

If there is no way to go on the opposite side of the curb, only along the way, then look around regularly. Do not cover your ears with headphones, talk on the phone. You should hear everything that happens behind.

On the railway

It's time to touch on the topic of "Safety on the Railroad". Modern rail transport is high-speed. What does it mean? Let's give an example of such trains and electric trains as "Swallow", "Sputnik", "Sapsan", and any rolling stock, which has a speed of more than 200 km / h.

Crossing the railway tracks is only necessary where there are traffic lights and transitional "tracks". If there are none, then see if there are any trains at least 500 m away from you. There should be no more than two paths in this case. It is forbidden to go where there is an automatic switch. Naturally, not everyone understands the sphere of railway transport, just better let it be a rule for everyone: do not cross the railroad tracks in the wrong place. Only where permitted. It is better to go the extra 1.5 km in safety than getting under the train.

Cycling

In megacities there are special paths for cyclists, but not everywhere. If you do not know the rules, are afraid of cars, go for the first time, then do not go on the road. Use the sidewalk where there are few people.

What are the basic rules of safety on the road for fans of two-wheelers? When preparing to cross the road, get off the bike and walk. You can not move on the "zebra".

In the courtyard near the house

Here, child safety on the roads is more important. Why? Because kids love to play in the yard. Unfortunately, there is no strict separation where cars can go, and where to go, run, play children. Therefore, from a young age it is necessary for babies to explain that they do not run out to where the car can drive.

It is better for parents to raise the topic "Safety on the road" for children several times, accustom them to caution, vigilance.

What happens if you do not follow the rules?

Very often you can hear on the radio, read in the newspapers or see with your own eyes what happens to those who do not follow the rules and do not provide safety on the roads:

  • Numerous injuries;
  • death;
  • Damage to the transport and things of a pedestrian;
  • Unpleasant investigation procedures by government officials.

Much better if a person takes time for personal safety, he will wait, even if the traffic light switches only after 3 minutes, than he becomes a participant of emergency.

General rules for being on the road or railway

So we looked at how road safety is implemented. Let's briefly once again list the main rules:

  • To look back;
  • Do not talk on the phone;
  • Do not listen to music;
  • Do not over run in the wrong place and with the forbidden (red) traffic light signal.

Parents should lead young children only by the hand, women with wheelchairs need to remember that the child is closer to the road, so be sure to look forward.
