People's remedy for bite bugs, or How to protect yourself

Everyone at least once a summer faces bites of Simuliidae. They bite very painfully, the place of a bite often inflames, itches, itches and swells. But not everyone knows that the midge can cause more damage to the body, flying into the respiratory tract or getting into the eyes of a person. Therefore it is very important to know at least a little about the bite of Simuliidae, than to treat them, how to avoid unpleasant consequences. Especially such knowledge will be useful when traveling to a dacha, outside the city or when hiking in the forest, where the midges are especially active. After all, at such times a special remedy for biting Simuliidae is not always at hand.

How to provide first aid

On the site of the bite of the midges often there is swelling, which is accompanied by a burning sensation. The first thing to do is to conduct a number of first aid activities. The most common and popular folk remedy for mosquito bites is ice and alcohol. Everything is quite simple: to start, the place of bite should be disinfected and anesthetized with alcohol, and then apply a cold that will help to remove the leak and reduce itching.

At the moment of the bite, the midge injects a poison that slightly anesthesizes and dilutes the blood, so the bite itself is rarely felt. Usually people notice it when the midge has been drinking blood for some time, or when it already has completely flown away. It is because of this poison on the skin and there are small bubbles that still continue to cause discomfort for a few days after meeting with this insect.

To prevent any infection that could aggravate the situation, these places can not be scratched, no matter how much you like. This will help the usual bactericidal patch, glued to the site of the bite. And if the itching is completely intolerable, then another national remedy for biting midges will come to the rescue. It consists in wiping the place of bite with a solution of ordinary baking soda. Make it fairly easy, enough to dissolve in a glass of water a teaspoon of soda.

It happens that the bite of midge may be allergic. In this case it is necessary to buy antiallergic drugs in the pharmacy . But before using them, you should consult a doctor to clarify the origin of the allergy.

People's remedy for bite bites

  • As already mentioned above, the most simple and effective means are ice and alcohol, especially since they are always at hand. Alcohol can be replaced with cologne or toilet water.
  • If you are in a forest or just away from home and a settlement, you can use the grandfather's way - attach a plantain to the bite.
  • Another great folk remedy for mosquito bites is rubbing the affected skin with soda diluted with a little water with the addition of essential oil of mint. Instead of peppermint oil, you can use menthol or mint toothpaste, if there was no oil at hand.

How to avoid bite

It is very useful to know that most often these insects bite in hot and sunny weather, and when clouds gather in the street and become cloudy, the midges become more passive. It is also known that they simply adore the smell of sweat and dislike female toilet water and perfume. And they fly, mostly on light and white clothes, as well as reflecting the sun's rays. Therefore, if you smell strongly afterwards and you are in a white suit, you are more likely to be bitten by a midge than with a perfumed girl dressed in a black dress.
