Making paper lanterns with your own hands is a great idea. Paper - the material is simple, pliable and affordable, it will take only a little free time and imagination. Paper articles can be completely different in form and size. They can decorate the Christmas tree, they can be placed in various places of the house or put in garlands and hang on the ceiling. The idea of making new-year lanterns from paper and decorating them with a house carries a secret meaning. Fold a piece of paper diagonally and cut off the part that will protrude beyond the line. This way you will get an even square. Next, fold the figure out of the paper as shown in the photo above. Paper lanterns can be added with a loop and hang on a ribbon or revive them with light. Put a lamp of a New Year's garland inside each of these flashlights and fix it with adhesive tape. It remains only to decorate the house.

Traditional lanterns

This is one of the simplest versions of crafts. Surely many of you have seen such products.

• Take a rectangular sheet of colored paper. Cut a flat strip 1 cm wide from it. After that it will be used for the eyelet - the handle.
• Fold the paper in half. Make transverse incisions from the folded part of the sheet to the edges. Be careful not to cut the paper completely, leave 1 cm from the edges.
• Unroll the sheet.
• Fold the paper as shown in the photo above. Fix the edges with adhesive tape, glue or a stapler. Attach the handle.

Pylons

To make such paper lanterns with your own hands, fold a sheet of paper 3 times. After cutting 1/3 part along the fold line.

Fold the big part in half and make with scissors equal cuts along the entire length of the leaf, leaving the whole only the upper part. It turns out paper fringe.

Unfold the sheet of paper. Turn out uncut pieces in the opposite direction, you should get a tube. Secure it with adhesive and the remaining paper strip.

It remains only to attach a small loop on top so that you can hang the flashlight. From the bottom you can add a figurine with a tail from the sliced tape.

Such a paper lantern according to the belief of the Chinese brings good luck to the house. In its manufacture paper of red and yellow (gold) color is used. Use a coffee cup or any other handy item that will allow to outline on paper even small circles. Cut 4 yellow and 4 red circles - this will be enough for one flashlight.

The idea to make New Year's lights by oneself is practical and original, and most importantly - in every house there is material for such crafts.

Use strong paper or cardboard. Perfectly suitable for small boxes of juice or milk. In this case, it remains only to cut out the boxes in the box, paint it in the right color, or decorate it with decoupage. You can paste such a flashlight with felt or gift paper. From above use various elements of ornaments, in our case these are birds with berries and leaves.

For the small windows of the lantern, small pieces of plastic (from bottles) or tracing paper can be used. They can be glued with double-sided adhesive tape or glue.
