Painting the machine with your own hands

Motorists with experience well know that during the long operation of the car most of all, the body and paint suffer. Rains and slush, salt on roads in winter, frequent washing, sunlight - all this has a detrimental effect on the paint of the car. It fades, loses its luster. And if to add to it mechanical damages - scratches from trees, small chips from pebbles flying off from under the wheels of oncoming cars, it becomes clear - the painting of the car is necessary.

Not always the owner of the car comes to the decision to paint it only because he lost his original appearance. Someone wants to simply refresh the color, someone wants to change this color to a new one, someone has conceived to turn his car into a chameleon, and someone just needs to put some drawing - airbrushing. Before embarking on the embodiment of your dream into reality, you need to know what this interesting process is - the painting of the machine.

Immediately it should be noted that this is quite a time-consuming and responsible job. It requires experience, possession of different painting technologies. The final result will largely depend on the quality of the preparation of the car for painting and the materials used, as well as the skills of the master who will perform this work.

The painting of the machine can be performed in two ways. You can paint only the outer surfaces of the car, and then remove the bumpers, handles and other decorative overhead elements. Headlights, glasses, seals are covered with paper or paint tape. When using this method, high-quality painting can not be achieved. Traces may remain in the form of streaks or splashes on the glasses and seals.

In addition, it should be borne in mind that the painting of the machine in this way is not made in a special chamber, but in a normal working box, where it is dusty and dirty. Consequently, there is a serious problem with the rough, uneven surface of the painted car. The car with freshly dyed paint is left to dry in the same dusty box. This method can please the owner of the car only by its cheapness - it is much cheaper to pour a car with paint than to drive it into a special chamber and paint it completely.

A more effective method is painting the machine in a special chamber. The cost of such work is much higher. If you use this method, most of the money for painting will go to preliminary preparation. From the way the machine is prepared for painting, the final result depends to a large extent.

First remove the old paint from the machine. This is usually done with sandpaper. Then, every detail is cleaned of rust and immediately covered with anti-corrosion primer. If there are minor damages, then they are eliminated with putty, and a layer of filler is applied over it. The treated part is thoroughly dried and ground to a perfectly flat surface.

To paint the car in the camera from the machine, remove everything that is possible - leave only the bare body. It is placed in a chamber and stained, then dried, varnished, again dried and polished. It remains only to assemble the car. The machine looks like it's just off the assembly line.

There is another least expensive method - painting the machine with your own hands using a can. You buy a balloon enamel of the right color and spray it on the surface of the body. Completely paint the car in this way you are unlikely to succeed, but small scratches are quite possible to eliminate.
