Opposite - Recognition of the Problem, And Methods of Fighting It

Each of us from time to time falls into a situation when you walk down the street, and suddenly come face to face with another person. After a while you try to get around the person on the right, but at the same time a person tries to get around you on the left, then you try to get around him from the other side, but the same idea arises also in the person who met you.

After two attempts it becomes difficult not to repeat the same thing several more times. You begin to feel that you are in interaction with a person for much longer than you would like. You and your colleague are embarrassed by the situation, you look at each other apologetically, but the problem needs to be solved somehow.

Before proposing solutions to the situation, I would like that we all recognize that such a problem exists in life, and if it exists, it must somehow be called. I suggest the term "contrast", the search in Google showed that this term is not yet occupied, and the word is short enough to remember it, add it to your vocabulary, and use it if necessary.

In the area where I live, there are a lot of squirrels, they run around the streets, climb poles and balconies, jump from tree to tree. Imagine, once I had a case of opposing the squirrel!

Now that we have recognized the problem, and even called it by our own name, it's time to think about ways to solve it, suggest three options, two I use in my life, and the third I looked on the Internet.

1. Passive: stop, and do not move, wait until the person you meet will solve the problem himself.

2. Active: indicate by hand the direction in which you are going to move, automatically blocking the oncoming way in this direction, and slowly slowly start to head towards the hand, as a rule your vis-viser will understand your intentions, and will soon start moving in this direction.

3. Gaming: try to benefit from the situation, try to pre-maneuver the opponent, and for each guessed direction add one point. If you miss the opponent's maneuver, the problem will be solved. With this approach, there are no losing situations.

Remembering such a problem as a contrast, you can come up with your own solutions, so when you come across it again, you will not be caught unawares.
