Nefteyugansk, whose population is accustomed to rather harsh living conditions, is located in the zone of taiga forests inhabited by quite a lot of various animals and birds. The landscape of the city and the surrounding area is flat, which is comfortable for living and creates beautiful landscapes around the settlement.
Climate and ecology
Nefteyugansk is located in the Far North, which is characterized by a cold continental climate. Here is a long and rather harsh winter and a short cool summer. The administration of Nefteyugansk constantly insists on the need to build a sewage treatment plant, but so far it is not.
History of settlement
In 1961, the first geologists arrived on the territory of the modern city, they found the richest oil fields, and new people went there, the geologist's settlement began to grow rapidly. In 1967 the village received a new status and on the map of the USSR appeared Nefteyugansk. At this time, the first stone houses are being built here, social infrastructure is being built, roads are being built. In 1984, the movement opens on the first bridge across the Ob, before that there was only a ferry crossing. Nefteyugansk, whose population is steadily growing, is developing even today. It has its own television company, a local newspaper is being published.
