Neberjay Valley: holy sources giving strength

One of the oldest inhabitants of these lands were Adygs, they owe the valley its name and a beautiful legend. Even then, pilgrims came here from afar. Gradually, the coast of the Black Sea and the lands of the Caucasus began to colonize other peoples. This process was most active in the 19th century, after reunification with the Russian Empire. Around the crystal clear springs, people built settlements, chapels and cultivated fields. This land seemed to them auspicious and even holy.

But not all the time around the holy springs reigned an atmosphere of grace. During the persecutions of the Christian faith in the Soviet republics, the glory of the Neberjay valley was trampled. The need to build a railroad for the oil industry has virtually buried one of the main sources - the Holy Pen. However, the water broke its way to the top, and now the complex is fully restored.
