Mycoplasmosis. Treatment of mycoplasmosis in women and men

Mycoplasmosis is an infectious and inflammatory disease that is caused by microorganisms mycoplasmas and is transmitted sexually. During the mycoplasma disease in men, the urethra (urethra) and the prostate gland are affected, in turn in women - the cervix and the vaginal mucosa. In the first place, women who have undergone gynecological diseases, as well as those who have "an endless stream" of sexual partners, become vulnerable. Sometimes the disease can appear during pregnancy. Treatment of mycoplasmosis should be prescribed only by a doctor, in no case should you try to cope with the infection yourself. How does mycoplasmosis manifest?

There is also pain in the lower abdomen, which worsens during urination and during sexual intercourse.

Mycoplasmosis during pregnancy

The most severe are manifestations in pregnant women. In this case, even miscarriage or premature birth is possible. Also during the illness in pregnant women, the release of amniotic fluid may occur (before the due date), and fever may occur during labor (sometimes after them). Due to illness in the newborn, there may be pneumonia or meningitis. For this reason, pregnant women should arrive on time to consult a doctor and take appropriate tests. And treatment of mycoplasmosis should be prescribed only by a specialist.

Mycoplasmosis in children

If a woman is not treated, mycoplasmosis during delivery will necessarily be transmitted to the newborn. The child's symptoms begin to manifest in the form of inflammation of the nose, pharynx, bronchi and lungs. How fast the child's body will recover is dependent on its immune system. Note: Mycoplasmosis first of all will appear in those children who suffer from, for example, bronchial asthma or bronchitis, or other serious ailment. Treatment of mycoplasmosis in children can proceed in different ways, it all depends on the child's condition, age and stage of the disease.
