Metallurgical plants of Russia

Metallurgical plants in Russia are the whale, which, in fact, "is" the economic welfare of most regions, and indeed the whole state. At the same time, this industry produces the final product, which requires a rather complex and labor-intensive manufacturing process.

Almost all metallurgical enterprises of Russia gravitate with their territorial location to the source of raw materials available in the region.

There are three main metallurgical bases in Russia, which differ in their fuel and raw materials resources, specialization of production and structure. These are the Ural, Siberian and Central, which differ not only in their geographic and transport location, but also in terms of production scale and technical indicators.

The central base includes such metallurgical plants in Russia as Novolipetsk and Cherepovets plants.

Let us dwell in more detail on each of them. The plant, located in the city of Lipetsk, receives coal from the Donetsk coal mines, and raw materials from the Kursk anomaly. Its assortment is simply colossal: it's steel of many types, and slabs, and cast iron. Therefore, this enterprise occupies one of the main places in the metallurgical industry of the country.

The Cherepovets plant, which is located at the intersection of transport routes, can also compete with it, thus it has excellent opportunities for marketing its products - cold-rolled and hot-rolled steel products.

Metallurgical plants in Russia, related to the Ural base, specialize mainly in ferrous metallurgy. And one of them is an enterprise located in the Chelyabinsk region, which is rightfully considered the leader among producers. Its products are electrotechnical, instrumental, corrosion-resistant and other steel.

In the list of enterprises specializing in ferrous metallurgy, Magnitogorsk holding occupies a separate place, which has the opportunity to carry out an industrial closed cycle, including ore preparation and marketing of the finished product. Its assortment includes special profiles, steel billets, steel products and slabs.

Metallurgical plants in Russia, related to the Ural base, receive raw materials from the Kachkanarsky and Kustanai deposits.

The largest metallurgical plants in Russia located in the Siberian region are Novokuznetsk and West Siberian enterprises, which operate on a full cycle, as well as redistribution - Novosibirsk and Guryevskoye.

Siberia accounts for almost a fifth of all finished steel and cast iron produced in our country, and also a sixth of steel.

Metallurgical plants in Russia provide ready-made metal products to all spheres of industry, including the construction industry, defense enterprises, precision engineering, in a word, all those that use metallurgical products as raw materials. They produce steel and cast-iron pipes, which provides for our country independence in the matter of energy supplies through its own pipelines.

Metallurgical plants are the pride of Russia, because, thanks to its rich raw materials base and processing opportunities, it is one of the key suppliers of not only metal, but also metal products.

Times are changing, the product range is being modernized, production technologies are being modernized and much more, but the importance attached to the metallurgical industry in the world remains unchanged.

Many of the largest enterprises related to the field of metallurgy are partly or wholly owned by the state, which once again underscores the strategic importance that the Russian government attaches to the development of this sector.
