Medicinal bloody motherwort: indications for use

Motherwort as a curative plant was first mentioned in the encyclopedic dictionary of the 15th century. In folk medicine it began to be used even during the Middle Ages. In traditional medicine, it was introduced only in 1932.

In Russia, grows more than 11 species of this herb, and only two of them (motherwort five-lobed and heart-shaped) are medicinal plants. In clinical trials, it was found that the herb extract increases the intervals between epileptic seizures. Also reduces intense headaches, struggles with insomnia, calms the nervous system. Positively affects the potency. In addition, there is a high efficacy of the drug in myocarditis, Graves' disease, brain contusions, heart defects, cardiosclerosis and myocardial dystrophy.

Motherwort motherwort is used for hypertension and cardiovascular dystonia. Infusions can be prepared independently from dry raw materials. To do this, take 15 grams of grass, pour boiling water, and languish in a couple (15 minutes). Then the extract is cooled and filtered. It is taken twice a day for 50 g.

It shows the use of infusion with climacteric phenomena, which are caused by unreasonable fear, anxiety, palpitations, sweating, dyspnea. A good effect of the grass has with flatulence, GI disease. In combination with hawthorn and valerian, the mixture is indicated to enhance cardiac performance.

Active motherwort is used in industry. Seeds produce fatty oil, from which varnishes are made, impermeable fabrics and fibers. They impregnate paper. In veterinary medicine infusions from the plant treat cattle from various heart diseases and neuroses. Pharmacy alcoholic tincture can be given to children. This is an ancient remedy that is tested not only by scientists, but also by time.

Side effects

Since the plant is very poisonous, it needs to be applied in small amounts. In case of an overdose, the following phenomena may occur: vomiting, diarrhea, severe thirst, pain in the intestinal area, and presence of blood in the feces.
