Maxim Munzuk is an actor of the USSR. A native of Tuva. World fame brought him the role in the famous film "Dersu Uzala." The first role was played by the actor in 1972. Biography

Maxim Munzuk was born on May 2, 1910 (according to other sources, the date of his birth was September 15, 1912). The future actor was not yet 18 years old, when he voluntarily joined the ranks of the Tuvan People's Revolutionary Army, where he found a teacher in music in the person of Korovin Semyon Grigorievich. As a Kapellmeister, this man first taught Maxim the musical basics, and then took him to his orchestra. Maxim Munzuk, thus, began to play on the pipe.

Noticing how talented his pupil is, Korovin begs permission from local authorities to send Maxim to study in the Soviet capital. Permission was received, and soon the young man was in Moscow, but the lack of a confirmed musical education prevented him from becoming a student at the Institute. The Gnessins. Thanks to the knowledge of the Russian language, the actor Maxim Munzuk, whose biography is full of bright events, in 1939 became one of the authors of the translation of the drama "Love Yarovaya" into the Tuvan language. At that time, the actor had a lot of wonderful roles in such performances as "Mutiny" by D. Furmanov, "Russian people" by K. Simonov, "Poverty is not a vice" by N. Ostrovsky and others. In 1947, Maxim Munzuk, already a director, introduced the audience to the play "Sumon Teacher", in which he told the story of the formation of a new Tuvan village, when local people had to adapt to a settled way of life. During his entire period of creativity, he has staged more than 30 performances, performed several dozen theatrical roles.

In 1972, a large spectator became acquainted with this remarkable actor in the crime film "The Departing of a Witness", where he performed one of the main roles, becoming a partner of Valery Zolotukhin. In this story, they are trying to solve a crime - the murder of a scientist-zoologist. The investigation is very complicated, because there are practically no clues.

Three years later, actor Maxim Munzuk got what many famous actors dreamed of, the main role in the film of the inimitable director Akira Kurasawa. The biographical drama "Dersu Uzala" tells about the fate of two comrades - the writer Arsenyev and the brave hunter, whose wisdom and kindness arouse sincere admiration from the audience, during their joint fascinating journey. The painting, for the production of which was spent 4 million dollars, received several awards, including the Oscar as the best film in a foreign language.

In the late 1970s, director Andrei Konchalovsky proposed the actor to play in the military drama of the mini-series "Sibiryada" format. In the film, to which Eduard Artemyev wrote music, the main roles were performed by Natalia Andreichenko and Sergei Shakurov. In this story, a small Siberian village becomes the arena of the everyday confrontation between the wealthy Solomins and the poor Ustyuzhany. The film won at the Cannes Film Festival in 1979, receiving the Grand Prix of the jury.

Noteworthy role

In 1988, the actor Maxim Munzuk, whose photo is displayed here, played the main role in the film "Guessing on a sheep's shoulder". In this drama of the 1950s, the fate of people of different nationalities exiled to one of the Siberian villages is narrated. The main characters of this exciting story are the grandfather - the collector of medicinal herbs - and his grandson, who are separated, after the old man is falsely accused of murder.

Maxim Munzuk forever inscribed himself in the history of cinema, presenting himself as a hunter in the film Akira Kurasawa "Dersu Uzala". At that time, the actor was already 63 years old.
