Personal life

Marriage with the director Alexander Itygilov promised to be happy and long. But during the participation in the liquidation of the consequences of the explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, the actress's husband received the strongest irradiation. Long-term struggle with lung sarcoma did not lead to recovery. The director died in 1990 in one of the Moscow clinics.

After that, Mateshko tried to concentrate on the work and education of her son. In 1994, the actress was in the Ukrainian delegation of the United States.
